Thanks for the romantic advice Pablo. She didn't mind too much at all. She was stoked to drive pigtown. I have a couple cruiser builds in mind for her to drive. That way she doesn't feel the need to drive mine. I just need to hurry up and put them together I guess...

Mud flaps. Removeable even. A couple pins and they go bye bye.

What's this do?

Changed my shifter from a golf club to a grenade. I couldn't get the golf club shaft to keep from breaking off.

stupid spellcheck on phone. company is bd weatherstrip.

as for hte button on the dash, the "v" button is vent.

Well that makes sense on both counts. Thanks!

Not much to report. Got glass back into the drivers door. Maybe tomorrow I'll put the shifter boots back on and start taking care of the absence of a front driveshaft issue...

Whats up with the tilt on the speedo...Looking good dude!:)

I tilted it so it would look like I was going faster.....
Kidding. It doesn't work. It's always been like that. But now it's gonna bother me so I'll fix it. Thanks a lot.

Clutch master gave up while wifey was driving it. New ones are expensive. So I pulled one off one of the parts 60's and made it work. All it cost me was a wasp sting.

They are expensive! Can you get a rebuild kit. I had to buy the whole thing, didn't have one and it was right over $100.

Wasps, hate 'em. Last year I put my hand on a nest. Don't know how many stings, but my hand and arm looked like a lobster claw, for a week.

It was the older style 3 bolt master. I changed it to the newer style 2 bolt style. The newer style ones are like 30-40 bucks at the parts store.

All the parts cars I have are riddled with wasp nests. It's kind of treacherous to collect parts in the summer time. I'm not allergic to them but that doesn't mean it doesn't hurt....

Dropped the tcases today and pretty sure I fixed the leak. Then started to make a front driveshaft. It needs about 6 inches of slip so the factory 4 inch not quite enough. Should have it done by tomorrow.

Correct. Use a donor driveshaft to donate its splined shaft and the female portion of the driveshaft. Then double up the splined shaft and the female portion. Also adding a cardan (cv) joint to it. After changing to the 63 inch front springs my existing front driveshaft was a couple inches too short and not long enough slip. I'm taking lead from boots4 who did it on his 60 in the hardcore section.

Front driveshaft done and in. Now have 7 inches of slip. And back to being 4x4. That's a nice feeling. Next I guess would be the shifter boots. The trans is easy and have one but the tcase shifters are a 3 stick arrangement so it's a homebrew deal with those. Some day maybe sawtooth can come up and share with me his wisdom in making my back window work again. Also would like to make a full roofrack for the pig....

We've been driving pigtown for a couple weeks now daily. Wifey leaves in it at the crack of morning to go drive school bus then comes home about 9ish then I drive it back into town to go to work. Then at the end of the day I drive it home. So it commutes back and forth a couple times a day and we live 8 miles outside of town. No major issues yet. But I was thinking on my drive home yesterday that I don't think very many people can even tell that it's a Toyota. There is a few that are familiar with cruisers and know. But quite a few Toyota fans of the newer stuff like Tacoma's and 4runners and lame fj cruisers have no idea what a 55 is. What a shame...

Went to my friendly local tire shop and got the tires balanced. What a difference that made! Some of the stickie weights had fallen off. I don't like that style but the hammer on ones won't work on my wheels...
