Respect! Good work. Far cry from sitting next to the Habanero bushes at Mark's shop! It was a good truck to start with but it looks amazing now!

The PS bracket that was donated will not work for us, despite our best efforts, so Georg at Valley Hybrids is donating a set of brackets for the PS box and pump. THANK YOU GEORG!

Here is a pic from last Sunday. We got a carb mounted and the throttle linkage hooked up. The fuel tank was cleaned up and is ready for installation, and we got a start on running the fuel lines.

Dr. Ed verified the repairs to the wiring harness will hook-up as needed and will be putting the finishing touches and load testing the harness in preparation for installation in the coming weeks. I've got some homework to do on the instrument panel as we have broken gauges, and rusty faces. Hopefully, I can mix-n-match what we do have to make up one working panel.

Did anyone take the battery tray home to clean and paint it? We have a spare at Tom's that we can use, but it will require a great deal of work to clean-up and I'm hoping someone has already cleaned up the one that came with the truck.
Jon

Only 8 work days left

Running out of time............... need more help............. Sunday 9am Toms house............. Come on out............ Its fun................... We are almost done....................Then we can work on are own junk........

I received the ps brackets from Georg at Valley Hybrids (orangefj45) so that, the wiring harness with lights and switches, and some prep work on the hard top are on the plan for Sunday so there will be room for multiple hands.

Picked up some fuel line and hose clamps also throwing a quick coat of paint on a brake booster, hoping to see Eric with a good master cylinder. How are the radiator bracket and battery tray?

I will be there at 9. What else should I bring?

No wiring harness today, but plenty of other tasks for eager and willing hands (Ed is unavoidably detained).

Pulled an all nighter and awaiting my relief to arrive, see you about 9:30am.

Lots of progress today, and January in general.

Big thanks to Thornton, StaleAle, OffcamberFJ, TRFCSUX, and SEMPERFJ for the long hours today:cheers:

Here's pictures from today, January 27th, 2013. You can see this truck is coming together--some new parts donated by the Cruiser community, and others reconditioned for more decades of service.

I will try to make it back up next week with the windshield frame I had to do a little bit of cut and weld in a few places. finishing up with wirebrushing all the paint off and priming it up.

What else will we need for this thing?

You mean besides seats, a battery, and some road/trail worthy tires (15" wheels)?
