TJM T17 Bumper is coming Back!

The dissent bumper is about 85lbs with winch plate ;)

Now that is very interesting. I definitely like the Dissent with the LED bullet blinkers and 3x3 cutouts for the LEDs (that's my "dream" bumper....painted the same pearl bronze color as my 98 LX).

@Phil Damon ... How is TJM going to operate? Straight up sales or sell through parts warehouses such as Summit or 4WheelParts?

If it's through parts warehouses, I imagine that they will offer these bumpers with free or reduced shipping and I'm certain it won't be long that Amazon picks it up.

And then it will all come back to the little guy (Fabricator) getting hosed. They can't offer up the quantities of ARB & TJM nor can they offer up the free or reduced shipping. In the end, you as the consumer need to figure out what you want and price be damned, buy it.

Just throwing in my 2 cents... for those of us that are close enough to pick up and can get jobber pricing, it would be around $900 OTD for a finished and coated bumper. I'd say it's still worth it for some people.

This the first time I have seen people concerned that a large manufacturer wants to support a niche market, the 100 Series. I completely understand that small time fabricators are going to feel a small pinch with sales due to a lower cost option, but that is no reason to complain. That would be like complaining about the used market, yeah it drives down sales on new orders, but there are people that are budget minded that cannot afford new. I personally am new to the 100 series market and was shocked at the prices of parts, all driven by lack of vendors. Maybe some prices will come down to be more competitive with the larger distributors, maybe not. I personally went used on my armor because I could not justify 3K on a rear bumper, 2K on a front, did I want new, sure. But it just wasn't in the budget.

The Jeep crowd has the same issue, cheaper options across the board Smittybilt etc., vs the high end Boutique brands like Poison Spyder. Does the Smittybilt sales effect their bottom line? Sure. But then again, most people who want the high end stuff save up, or have the scratch at hand to spend. Lets just all be happy there are vendors willing to support the market!!

It is good looking, I like it and it could fit the budget also.

Can I ask why the extra turn signals?

We already have them so can a fog light or type of LED be retrofitted into the slim openings there?

I guess anything is capable with the right tools.

Dumb question, I know: but, it will fit the 98 LX? The differences are just subtle enough that I worry it wouldn't fit correctly. And, everything says LC100 series on their site...no mention of the LX.

LXs have the turn signals in the bumper

It does look good. Did i miss the price? I dont see it on the site.

One of the best looking bumpers in my opinion. Glad it is back!

yea, its under products/bull bars but not specific vehicle listings, and not a fitment for an 80 series :-(

We do have a T17 for the 80 Series, but for some reason, it doesn't show up on the web site. Slee has them in stock and has pictures on their site.

That is one good looking bumper. Wowsa. Very Sleek - a good budget friendly option to compare to the beefier Blueberry from Slee.

Also: You can get an ARB bumper on Amazon?! With free shipping?! Damn, Amazon really is my new auto parts dealer....

My wife just took her 100 series down to TJM to have the first production bumper test fit. They were waiting on a check of the production bumper before moving forward. So unless they decided to make some additional tweaks I imagine it would be soon

This is my wife's truck with the production bumper. The solid wings really look nice.

Expeditionready.net gave me the option to place an order to reserve one @ $749 + $100 flat shipping, and said they were expecting them to arrive this week. I opted to wait to see what the final production version looked like since they were making a few changes, and I can never make up my mind when it comes to big purchases lol.

The changes were very minor. I was expecting more and hoping for the ability to have a recovery point and ability to mount some small LED lights. I'll have to see if I can swap the blinker out for a tiny LED bar

Yeah, I'd really like to be able to integrate some LEDs into the bumper without hacking it up (I have an LX, so signals are in the bumper). I may just wait the extra month, or so, and go with the T13. For a couple hundred bucks more, it's winch-ready, has fogs and signals integrated into the bumper, and has more protection.

I don't get why they wouldn't set it up to use the factory fog assembly like their other bumper does considering they were doing so much tweaking on the design. They are still using the 1990s looking turn signals and it dates the vehicle IMO
