Only they can answer that question ...one would think if they were pulling the plug on US distribution every product would be on sale and not just lockers.

FYI Every TJM product at Summit Racing was on sale marked down by roughly 50%. I doubt however that they will exit the market- A bit too much market equity to depart, and suicide if they do- it takes years for people to forget, and even more years to trust again. Sounds like the guys at TJM USA need to get on here an reassure folks they are here to stay, help, do what ever it takes to support the market.

They might want to take some notes how ARB does it here; who has competent knowledgeable staff, fully supported operation and market responsive. They really do a good job as an import distribution arm of the home operation in Australia.

Great looking bumper and precisely what I was looking for on my 03 LX (almost pulled the trigger on the blueberry) -- relatively low profile, simple, light(ish) weight...

Is there any prelim estimates on cost?

HI Guys,

I just wanted to clear some things up.

Not only is TJM still in the US, TJM now has an engineering team in the US dedicated to developing products specifically for the American market. I am one of the American engineers working in the US. We work directly with TJM's engineering team in Australia and have access to all of their archives. TJM is no longer exclusive with Summit Racing. We are doing our own distribution here in the US.

I am the engineer responsible for the rework of this 100 Series Bumper. We started out just wanting to start producing the old T17, but decided to do some updates to it, and as Paul has stated, once we did the test fit, we made even more changes. We ended up adding the signature TJM T-Slots for use with a High Lift Jack. The wings are no longer bolt on and have a sleeker look. All the forward facing openings have the typical TJM formed radius, which adds strength and style. There are two turn signal options: standard incandescent and LED. The winch frame is an optional part.

These are in production right now.

Here are a few pics of the finished bumper after making the changes Paul mentioned.

Awesome happy to see you on here and welcome to mud! Can you share the price range on these yet?

I talked to our marketing guy and he said they are pushing for a retail price in the $700-$750 range.
What a great price! Do you guys have any photos of it mounted yet?

That is a great price for an awesome bumper! @Phil Damon when can we expect them to be available? Also, will these be available for will call pick up at your San Diego location?

In paulbgardner's thread
The Road to a 100 and 2001 build thread
he has a bunch of pictures of when we did the test fit. The only things that have changed is the top face was made to match the vehicle (Turns out the grille on the Australian models is different). And we made the wing one piece, so I added the slight undercut on the side.

I already have the TJM winch mount for the 100 series but not the bumper. Would the new bumper be compatible with the existing winch mount?

also, if you are updated the old bumper style, why not make it compatible with the stock fog lights to give it a sleeker integrated look?

Phil-

Glad to hear that TJM is stepping it up and getting serious about the US market. Thanks for posting and welcome to Mud. I've not yet seen an inmate with more likes than posts, so congratulations! Seems to be some sincere enthusiasm generated by TJM's renewed commitment.

TJM made a few different winch mounts depending on which model bumper it was.
Here is a picture of the new winch frame.

If it looks similar to this, it should work. We added a few extra mounting holes to tie it into the mounts, but the old one will fit in the same location.

That's a cool bumper! Did you have to trim the frame up front to mount it?

Thanks for jumping on here and clarifying for us - always better to talk about your products than let the rumormill do it for you;)

Can you comment on rear bumper plans? Sliders? Product roadmap for 2017?
