well seems like those uniroyals mentioned above are discontinued which it too bad. these wheels
are tough to find a proper tire for!! i want a chunky tire because it just looks right on these trailers. i can get a cooper discover stt pro in a 235/85r16 but they’re $350 a piece!!! that’s almost as much as i paid for the whole trailer!! i need the trailer later this month for a road trip so don’t have a ton of time to shop unfortunately. any other ideas you guys have for a tire that looks right that might actually be available 😂

Not cheap but a tire that'll last you a really long time. It also looks the part, imo. I was looking at this one but couldn't commit on the price. Available in 16/235/85.

so i ended up doing the budget thing for now. i have a set of 5 bolt split rims with 17.5 inch LT tires that i picked up brand new off some landcruisers from our local mine. $200 for 5. well they have the 5x150mm bolt pattern that i cannot get trailer hubs for unless i order out of australia and one place i checked wouldn’t even ship to canada. i dont have time for that because i need the trailer for the end of next week for my road trip i figured why not just swap the tires from the split rim to the trailer rim. they’re both 16 inch. these cruiser tires are just a little bigger. the old tires were LT and they’ve done 10s of thousands of km over the past decade so they’ll get good enough for now. i’ll probably pull the trailer apart in a few years to rebuild it and repaint it as the rust is getting worse but these will work until then. it only cost me $100 in tubes and mounting fee! i may just run them indefinitely as they look awesome and i have a total of 5. that’ll last me a LONG time!!

I bought a set of Coker NDTs probably 20 years ago. I’ve had the trailer out in the elements the whole time; no cracking or checking.
Was thinking of buying a spare and I think they have doubled in price. I think I only paid about $100 each. They are probably the 4 ply 600-16 running with tubes. $200 is still a pretty good price.
Years ago when I went through it I put a receiver in the back that pins up underneath for a bike rack or a spare mount. I even have another 416 wheel.

Found a knockoff 6.00 x 16 tire to match the others for a spare. It’s a Deestone, not a Firestone. Wonder where it comes from…

It’ll work as a spare and for less than half the cost of the Coker I figured it would be fine. I had the tire shop put in a heavy duty tube too.

Cleaned up the trailer hitch spare holder. It has a second receiver under it that will take a bike rack. Just make sure you have a couple hundred pounds of stuff in the trailer or it’s wagging all over the place.

To use the M416 wheels I had to run a couple 1/4” spacers because the offset on the wheels is different. I think longer studs were needed too. That was 20ish years ago so I could be wrong…
