This 2F was rebuilt. For some reason the builder painted it red. Maybe that's a signature of his shop. @kcsmithson ... how many miles do you think are on this motor rebuild?

It was rebuilt before I bought it. I mailed all the paperwork that came with the cruiser when I sent the title, so there is probably something in there that would help determine for sure. If I was guessing, I would say under 5000 miles. Mike Dadja in North Richland Hills is the mechanic who did most of the work for the previous owner.

While I'm waiting for parts to arrive for the engine bay I'm going to inventory all of these parts to put the hard top together.

Chad even purchased new OEM glass for this thing all around.

Crazy.

The rear is empty. Now to tackle all of the boxes. Stand by

Anyone that has ever followed my builds know that the first thing I usually do is s*** can the stock tire carrier and install a 4Plus swingout. I've never had any luck getting the slop out of these things. Well, this one is the tightest thing ever. In fact, I bet it's better than a new one

Another cool thing is this OEM tailgate that he added as a static piece that does not require new holes drilled into the tub. Looks perfect.

If there was any question of this truck was rust free these hard top sides are perfect top and bottom. You can't fix these this nice if there was rust.

There are a couple of scratches on them I might have to get fixed after being moved around but overall these parts are painted really really good.

🙌🙌🙌🙌 Chad sold me this cool Toyota sign. I need to hook up the lights.

That’s the 81-84 tire carrier, they’re the best

Putting all the guts into the ambulance doors using Metric Overland hardware.

Toyota still makes this latch which is also a early right hand door latch.

I figured out the rear latch after a few tries. I was using too long screws to hold the plungers and every time I tightened everything up the springs stopped working. Finally figured that out.

Anyone know what kind of pin you use to attach the handle?

The plate was scratched so I took it up to PowderKeg.

Also the bezel they did for me was bright white and not cignus so I had to take it back.

This truck had my GO TO headlights from my buddy Bruce Wade aka Roundeye on it. They are out in favor of some fresh Koito H4s and a Cignus bezel
