Likewise. I think it's about time I finally got around to riding some of the downhill mtb trails up there... it's not like I've been visiting the place and talking about doing it for close to a decade or anything....

I went up this last weekend with the MTBR crew. We rode Sunrise twice, upper Butcher's Ranch Tr twice, Pauley Creek, lower Butcher, 3rd and 1st divide twice each and one run down Mill's Peak.
A guy crashed into a bear on Mill's Peak the day before we got there. This is on the crappy fire road section:
For some 4x4 content, we took my buddy's Nissan Frontier up to upper Sardine Lake. He does not have the temperament for rock crawling. He was very tense. There's a giant boulder on that trail now, about 2/3 of the way. It will be tough for big wagons or anything full size.

Depending on my work schedule it will be Thursday or Friday. I would like to score a spot by the lake if possible (Big Gold lake).
Just ordered Shirts. we'll be heading up Thursday night after work.
Gotta show up like Tuesday to get a spot at the lake! Both times we've shown up early Friday and all spots have been filled. Plan B is to camp at the swamp with all the drunks.
