open diffs and the power goes to the tire with least resistance
locked diff and those tires woudl be turning at the same speed as the ones touching the road

Differentials locked and left axles removed? Just spitballing as to how it could be done.

ummm, the wheels bolt to the axles so they are still there.
i have an idea but i want to see what others come up with...

The wheels bolt to the hub, on a full floater such as this 70 series.
So this leads to inner axle shafts that have been removed....

In some of the footage the rear driveshaft doesn't seem to be turning proportionaly with the speed of the rear wheels, could they have disabled the drive to the rear wheels, and running it in front wheel drive?

I figured it was in 2wd with the rear locker engaged and the left side axle shaft removed.

it looks like it have the drivers side rear axle in place .. or at least I can see the other part in the hub ..

There are a ton of videos like this in Saudi. I think a constant speed must be the key. Not every truck or car is going to have the axles removed etc.

I like the fact that some of them did it in flip flops

Maybe they turned each diff 90* from a birds eye veiw , got out the oxy and bent the axels around to suit new diff positioning ,so they have a diff for the left side of the car and a diff for the right side of the car
