Eased down to see Mike at the Chevron early and he put a good balance on my 34’ then topped off my AC.

He thinks someone has put some stop leak into my system because the 134 will flow hood then stop then the high pressure will go up. Then stop.

He monkeyed with it to make it Alaska cold for now but it looks like I’ll be replacing some components once this thing leaks down again. Right now it’s so cold I almost lost my right ear on the drive home from frostbite

Lou pulled the Milk Jug in after me and they tuned his new system too

Rolled hard back up I55 home. This uncorked 3FE runs great

Had to redo the A/C system on the Unykorn this year, as you are well aware. The compressor sounded it like it had 1000 tiny little gnomes inside of it with ball peen hammers giving it hell. Went back with OEM parts and let the mad scientist at Frisbee Auto do his work and it blows a constant 42 degrees at the vent.

The Oddball kinda uprooted my Cruiser plan. I spent 4 years and a lot of money building up an FJ55 to be my ultimate trail rig.

Then the Oddball came along. Upset the apple cart.

Today I sold the FJ55 and then took the OddBall out to make sure I had done the right thing.

That little box is the big step living in the Deep South.

RPMs are a bit higher at 80 than the Pig…..

OddBall has a 2 mph better top speed though 😜

Saw the sale, congrats! I can't imagine how much effort that truck took to build, was a one of a kind masterpiece. I do agree this 80 will be a lot more manageable long term, "little box" or not.

It's funny how looking at the 2 pics of your instrument panel how in 5 miles, your fuel gauge burned a needle's width worth of gas. Yep, it's a Land Cruiser.....you can watch the gauge drop as you mash the skinny pedal :steer:

Do you blame her for wanting to take a drive in the Oddball?

Operation drop 1950s furniture with @FJ60Cam went quick and I left the trailer there so I did not have to drag it around the forest empty on a pintle hitch. (Great decision)

We ran I-40 (awful) through Little Rock and then Hwy 10 out to the east side of the forest.

We arrived in camp in plenty time to cut some firewood and chill out and wait for @slacker24-7

Dave is a local and grew up going to this forest but has spent the majority of the time really exploring deep into the Ozarks. Having him in the south I was able to show him some of the trails I’d found.

Trail lead means taking all of the spider webs. It was unreal how many there were.

Dave is a long time Cruiser owner but when his buddy was selling this fully built XJ at 30 cents on the dollar he had to snatch it up. It’s totally legit and I am glad to have it on the trail.

@USMC22 has locked axles but has not added his harness to make them work so I tried to find something to encourage him to hook them up this weekend but he just laughed at all my attempts.

(Disclaimer … deep and steep but you can’t tell on the video)
