Congrats on the job!!! I have been working at a tanning bed for a little over a year now, it really helps to get a steady pay check, but then you run into my problem where you start getting really ambitious and that paycheck isn't big enough, so you work more hours and get the money, but now you don't have time to do the things you now have the money to do!!! Hahaha but really, it'll be good!

How about those rear panels eh?

So I will take your ignoring my offer as "You don't need it".

Totally sorry bro, I haven't had much free time to read through everything lately, and have only been able to skim and quickly post before school in the morning. If you don't want the hook, I'll take it off your hands, I don't think it the PO had it when I bought it.

....................................................................................................................

I haven't had any time to put into the panels in a while, and its not looking like this weekend it going to be any different. I have to go out and shoot a project for my photography class on Saturday, and just a few minutes ago when my Dad and I went out to move cars, he tells me that he is going skiing on Sunday and asks if I want to go..... I cant say no to that!!!

So its looking like I'm still going to have an incomplete truck next week......:bang:

I forgot where the post was, but if it's still valuable information the front tow hook on the 80 does not bolt up to the front tow hook of a 60. i went out and checked today and the 80's bolts are about 3/4" farther apart.
And congrats on the new hire!

Let me tell you something about getting those hooks off the frame... it aint easy!! lol I finally got mine off after about 1 1/2 hours of WD40 and torquing with a wrench to get mine off!! lol but hey machinist! I got my bumper and winch on!! I'm working on ideas for a bull guard now!!

My rear hook came off first try, only took about five minutes. :p Got any pics of that bumper in your thread yet?

Your making more progress than most of us thats been here a while just keep it up,of course it helps not having a mortgage or kids right?:D

That will be great if you make it to Stockton get to meet some cool ppl and look around at some nice rides too, maybe you can caravan with Shane so get there safely.:)

I was thinking I wasn't going to go, but I helped a friend of mine move a car with a dead battery the other day, and he offered to go with me if I went, so it might happen.

Sound's fine w/ me, hopefully I kick this cold/flu bug in the butt and will be able to still get up by 7am. You're welcome to meet me at Union Landing by the Mike's-Pizza/Pet-Store parking, I plan on trying to get on the road by 8am. Maybe all meet @ vipergrhd's house and caravan the rest of the way? LMK, I'll try to load some stuff up the night before that I plan on trying to get sold off, including the spare singlespeeds.

I'm still a bit in the dark about this whole thing, what time is the swap meet actually at? Is there a link that someone can give me that I can get the info from?

Could you pm me like a google maps link or an address of that shopping center(?) / Viper's address (if he's cool with that)?

Nevermind, I found George's post on Pirate4x4.

In case anyone else needs it...
it's time for our anual cruiser specific swap meet in stockton, northern CA.

date: april 14th 2012
time: 9am to 2pm
location: 4932 waterloo road stockton CA ( 3/4 mile east of hwy 99 on right )
price: $10 per spot; 50/50 cash raffle, the rest goes to the land owner
attendance fee: freebie
food: we'll have a caterer/roachcoach on hand, lotsa junkfood within 1/2 mile
pets: NO. PLEASE leave your digs at home.
kids: only if they're supervised by an adult AT ALL TIMES!!!!!!! and i mean at all times. that does not translate to "as long as they're on the property", it means they need to be at your side at all times. no exceptions. last year somebody thought it'd be a great idea to let their kids run around and ride their bikes thru the parking lot all day, almost getting run over more than once. so PLEASE be a responsible parent and keep your kids with you.
show-n-shine: sure, so bring your cruisers!!!!!!! we'll come up with a prize.....

so dig up your old parts, load them in your cruiser and show up. might as well crack open your piggy bank wile you're at it. a few vendors have been invited and will be te the event as well.

please keep in mind that this event will be hosted on a friends property. he has invited us to have the swap meet there. i have a ton of respect for chip so let's make sure we behave accordingly, clean up after ourselves,......you get the point.

hope to see you there!!!!!!!

Map for Union Landing, Union City, CA.

FWIW From Union City I'm heading to Pittsburg first, then to the Swap. You may find it a bit easier on your F-Engine and Gas-$ to just head straight to the swap. From San Jose to the Swap it's ~82miles one way, 162 total. Going the route I am begins at 101 miles one way, and that's if you want to drive the 20-29 miles here, giving you a total driven of ~240miles. As for vipergrhd's address, that's something he would have to privately be willing to disclose. IMHO, head straight to the Swap and have an extra $50 in spending $ available. It gives plenty of extra time too to check everything out.

Well looks like I lost my copilot. Somehow he forgot that Saturday was his brother's birthday, so he cant go now. So I'm going to try to find someone else that knows at least a little about cars to go with me, if I cant, then I dont know if i'll go. :(

Hey dude I added you to my Flickr contacts (RenoFizz).

Rain is hitting us today, we need it!

Ahh, so thats who that was. Last night we had some pretty epic lighting and thunder, and it rained pretty hard all night, maybe ski season isn't dead after all!:p
