FWIW I think I can speak for a good number of us when I say this: I live in a 3000Sq ft house, heater/AC, good neighborhood, and great job with retirement, and I envy the s*** outta you.

I live in a 1100sq ft house with heater/AC, a not great neighbourhood, good job with NO retirement, and I envy the s*** outta BOTH YOU AND THIS GUY WITH THE HUT.

Hi mud. Thanks for your comments. Really appreciate knowing there are folks that love simple things and land cruisers.
Every trip the landscape changes. The road is shaped by the rain and the 80 series does a phenomenal job cruising it. this is the kind of mud that we love and hate. The kind of mud that gave origin to the most kick ass LC forum of all.
In the past year I have been gathering clothes and money for the kids of the most empoverished families. Things are coming along well. Every time I have gone there the LC is in charge of delivering the goods. so far there are more than 22 kids receiving donations. Boots, shirts. Toys etc. Just thankful for being the one delivering and not the one receiving.

The f20 is a slow truck, took us 15 hours to get there, in the 80 would have been around 12 hrs. but patience pays and we get there tired but with a smile on our face...

Hey FYI there is a couple hundred Delta Mini-Cruisers in Colombia. Very similar to your Diahatsu but more Cruiserisk. I have seen a half dozen or so of them on previous trips to Colombia. They were imported by the government many years ago for farmers, or so I have been told.
