Getting close to finishing up the fuse and relay box.

Wires marked and terminated.
Ready to install.

Remaining is just looming the power wires when their final length is known, an couple lugs, and the ign tap in the engine fuse box.

Previous owner left me a hole over the fusible link. Not one to look a gift horse in the mouth I used it. Added some loom first, and used the fusible link connector as a handy place to zip tie the drip loop.

Ign 12v in, getting perilously close now.

Have all but one of the engine room leads that go behind the engine in loom wrap, just the new ditch light on drivers side, then I can wire tie all this mess to the hardlines.

Got the compressor loom rerouted and the compressor switch pair loomed. Regrounded the compressor to the ground aft of the fuse box. Got the fuses attached to the engine side of the fuse box and the positive on the battery.
Verified which of the cable sets thru the firewall got used, and wrapped and stored the extra by the brake reservoir.

Finished the two fuse relay boxes today. Ran a wire to driver ditch light, still need to do passenger. Also have to extend the light bar wire so they will reach the light fuse relay box.
Got the compressor, winch control and rear locker all fully wired.
All power and grounds installed.
Wire routing finalized and zip tied up.

All that remains is the ignition distribution, which I have an idea for and just need to implement.

Are those battery terminal extensions supported in any way?

Negative quick disconnect is flat underneath and rests on the battery
Positive has a bolt head in center and at end that rests on the battery

The negative quick disconnect has been super convenient while I"ve been working on this job. It really makes it so I follow best practice and have the battery out of the circuit, instead of working around it and only disconnecting the battery when I'm about to connect a positive (and not even always then). Takes literally 5 sec to disconnect the neg and same to reconnect. Should have done this years ago.

Ignition switched wires joined.
Tested air compressor - works
Tested light bar (after adding a connector to extend the wiring) - works

So both subsystems at least partially work.

One more connector and I’ll have the ditch lights done.

No winch to test that stuff, and no point cycling the locker in the driveway.

So far so good!

Ran out of 100ft of 1/4” loom, must have used 60+ on this project. Just need another five feet . . .

Ditch lights hooked up.

The 6 switch panel is super bright at night, I’m glad I didn’t put it anywhere line of sight.

Just a few feet of loom and some zip ties and it’ll be in to the next.

I also have a bunch of boots to zip tie onto the positive cables at the battery

Too bright even with the potentiometer?

I have an older 6 switch panel that was a gift. I installed it to run just the lights. The pot is attached to the custom switches in the cubby.

Here’s where I put the light controls in the driver footwell. It has integrated wiring and I’m just going to tape over the unused switches. I think I’ll end up using all 6 eventually.

Is that a hand made shifter my friend? noice.

Fixed my stray light problem on the 6 gang switch.

Also ordered and then canceled an ARB Solis spot. $80 for the harness, didn’t want to chance I couldn’t figure a way to hook up the $300 light direct without the factory harness. Don’t need the harness as I have other control solutions.

‘Finished’ the roof shelf. Added these carbon fiber covered aluminum bar custom fit pieces to add rear support off of the 3rd row seatbelt bolts.

The inside rack bracket off the third row seatbelt bolts has stopped the little vibration I had in the rack. Excellent!

Was going to do the brakes today, but kids wanted to go mountain biking. They won obviously.

Homemade bike rack still rocking it. First time out with the spare underneath. No problem with the swingarm open/close for just three bikes- same weight as the tire.
I think for off-road I’d still put in the hitch point.

Super nice day at Duthie Hill.

Rival4x4 confirmed today that my bumper is still in a container in Denmark. Being held by customs. Assume it’s related to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
