The sub tank is a goner. One less thing to go bad. The transfer switch was failing and I did not want to figure out how to incorporate it all into a Sniper EFI that this will get at some point.

After a deep clean of this totally rust free floor I added a layer of Dynamat.

This is the first time I've ever dynamatted a FJ40. Most of my customers are rough on them. Get them muddy. Leave them outside with the top off.

This guy won't be doing that. With this AC he might not even take the top off.

If you do this make sure you either

A) plug all the holes
B) if you want to get it wet make you pull the plugs and then ream out the dynamat over the holes

This one is is getting jute and carpet so I plugged all the holes.

Good call, I fought the sub-tank on the 60 when I did the 2FE fuel injection, and finally replaced the main and sub-tank with a 38 gallon main with great results.
As you said, a LOT less variables to deal with.

It's one thing for me to fight these battles in a personal truck but if it's a customer I do everything I can to simplify.

If I was doing it from scratch I'd make it fill the main tank with a transfer pump. But this one was not set up that way and when we fix the fenders we are going to 86 that fill door

Spent the morning fitting this beautiful SOR carpet kit into the truck. This is not cut for the rear heater and the front is not cut for the shifters so it took a while to get to all done

Woke up this morning and added all of the rest of the parts I had in house. I have another round due next week. Mostly cosmetic stuff.

Rear seats are in. This fabric matches pretty decent with the Scheel Manns. I'll ask Chad if he wants me to order some bulk to cover them to match.

I added the Diode Dynamic LEDs (just one pictured to show difference)

A bird got in the shop. I had to wait a bit but it showed.

New OEM wiper arms and blades

New Euro mirrors

New brighter bulbs for the cluster

Pulled the dark filter from the dash light

Just gave this old girl a good black WoolWax treatment. This thing got an undercoat at some point that's coming off in flakes. This stuff will soak into this super dry frame nicely.

Pretty sure the Toyota service manual didn't cover avian intrusion, but this looks OEM.

This seems like it's the easiest solution.

Leave them as separate systems instead of trying to integrate them to one another.
Personally I don't want to be in a 40 long enough to need an aux tank

This thing is looking fly especially the Front Runner rack 😎 Can you post a link for the headlight bulbs? Where’d you order the euro mirrors from?
