The cheap fix would have been to cut out the little PO added fender flips and just added some bushwhacker flares. In fact, the owner is not really a purist and liked the way a truck I had here in the shop looked with the flares.


Nothing doing.

It's getting done right.

I don't know why, but when I installed my CCOT quarters, the rear lip didn't reach the opening for the tailgate.
I wound up having to cut the lip off the new quarter, and make the vertical splice about 1/2" in from the edge of the tailgate opening bend.

After the full floor dynamat and layers - did you take it out for a spin? How much of a noise improvement? Curious what a decibel meter will say… late to the game here, great looking 40! Did you also move to wool wax for the paint?
No decibel meter but it's way quiet.

For a 40...
