What Richard is trying to say is that besides football it's up to UNC to hold up the rest of the conference.:D

What? How bout Duke and Maryland in bball, Miami, Fsu, Clemson in baseball, Clemson, Wake in soccer, I'll give you the fact that UNC is up there in all those but they dont carry anything except for womens soccer. Where they have won 18 of the 26 championships ever played.

Ha. Gotcha. Good to see you feel there are other teams in the ACC that help support the conference. I really think you are getting soft. Have you lost your orange blinders?:flipoff2::beer:

Wow, hit the road for a few days and a love fest goes down...

Gotta give some love to the Old Ball Coach!!!!! Nothing like watching Pinocchio squirm. Those Vandy kids manage to hit the books and field a team too??

The Butch era begins and comedy ensues. McNeese State. Seriously??? A squeaker? Don't they make sausage??

USC is definitely in the mix, good call Steen. I didn't realize you were a Pac-10 homer. :grinpimp:

Tammy called Satan for insight but realized he sold his soul long ago and just doesn't have what it takes. Do I smell another contract extension in Pickens county???? One can only hope! :D

Wind and Rain were doused by a Frosh. Really Chuck? Was that the roomer??

SEC is great at football but sucks at sports... Likely not true as most penal systems around the country would attest.

This thread is great. Thanks Marshall!

How about them 'Dores

Ol Bobby laid some old fashion butt whupping on the po ol Lamecocks.
O, D and special teams for USC STUNK. Taking nothing away from Vandy
who played a fine game.
Oh well. I feel for the kids in Colatown. I hope they continue to work
hard to improve week to week. They played better than the NCS game
but it wasn't near good enough tonight. Long season ahead.
At least the Cocks can savor the soccer win over CU. ;)

I stayed up and watched the whole glorious thing last night, which is quite a late night for me these days. Gamecocks looked like the same old team and Vandy actually looked pretty solid, they did that with 1/2 their starting secondary on the sidelines with injuries and cramps. They might finally make a bowl game. For now I think they will just enjoy beating their highest ranked opponent since 1937, good job one for the record books for the cocks.

Fixed it...

From what I can tell there were a few teams in the past week that had trouble getting going. A win is still a win in my book.

(We have to train our trial lawyers somewhere in the SEC)

(It's just that the SEC is so tough see... USC is still a GREAT FB team that would likely go 10-1 in a sub-par conference like the ACC, just getting through that meatgrinder schedule starting with all powerfull Vandy was too much for the visor-thrower to handle. Ask Richard, he understands SEC FB :grinpimp: )

(ACC still has the grandaddy of all penal system feeders at Fla State... that distinction we can't wrest from the ACC)

Awesome thread...

The ACC is a JOKE... and South Carolina has ruined better coaches than Spurrier.

Just a humble opinion from an Auburn Alum.

This is my first post on this thread but i just wanted to say i'm feeling a W tomorrow for the bulldogs...

CITADEL... GO DAWGS!

Nice first post... but intramural sports don't count

Careful... no SEC circle jerking allowed.

Sorry about that but you do live in the heart of SEC country.

I would talk more s*** but I learned that lesson in 2003 when we were pre-season #1 and lost our first 2 games (to the real USC and GT).

However even an undefeated season doesn't guarantee you anything with the BCS.

Biggest crime in NCAA football history was AU undefeated in the SEC and 3rd in the country. Don't think that will happen again though. Last two years showed that getting through the schedule with a loss is an exceptional season (even 2). We'll likely lose 2 with our schedule, but never know.

I take exception to the last part of that statement. SOS is in my humble opinion
is the best coach we've ruined. ;) Why the sour grapes at USC? Didn't they give
Clemson without a Lake a great running back a few years back? Some kid named
Irons. Coaches ain't the only thing USC can ruin. :hillbilly:
