FSU found the defense they haven't had all year. Clemson played way too tight, took most of the game before they loosened up and just played ball. Half CUs D line and secondary in jeans. Spiller at best 85%. Kickers went lame.
Still won.

Carolina bobbled an extra point. Fell apart, never recovered, lost again.

After the MD game I wouldn't have bet a nickel on Clemson against Carolina. Today I'd bet a paycheck.

All my dealers are dead or locked up long ago. I've learned to appreciate unaltered reality.
Spurrier's a has been, USC needs to get a 21st century coaching staff.

S.Car gave Arkansas the game....misakes/blown assignments and terrible tackeling gave it away.

I agree that Spurrier has made some terrible play calls and decisions all over the field. However...once those players get a little older and the O line picks up....they will get their first SEC championship.

Oh yeah. All they have to do is be mistake free, complete all their assignments and tackle everybody. Then if Spurrier makes all the right play calls and decisions and the players get older and the O line picks up . . . then they'll get their first SEC championship.
The Hogwarts quidditch team is going to do a little wand work from the stands too. And Gandalf has some elixirs brewed up for them to drink at half-time if that's not enough.
If they still need help Indiana Jones and Luke Skywalker have committed for next year, OC and DC.

No Steen, you were right the first time. Our new writer has a very dry but warped sense of humor.
I think.
I hope.

dohc you WERE kidding right?

I think they will contend for it in the very near future. Look at all the OL recruits they are pulling in for next season.

Most of the key players on both sides of the ball are freshmen or sophmores...IIRC they are the 2nd youngest squad in the SEC.

It's kinda hard to run mistake free with bad calls from Spurrier JR and a new OL coach changing every thing up just because he doesn't like how the other team is lining up

Let Garcia make the call....get JR out of there and let the head ball coach make the plays if he's not going to do it right. There is a reason behind bad time managment, lack luster play calls and for the young guys not being able to remember plays this time of year...and it's all on the side line.

Rumor has it the TCU head coach wants Spurriers job. If Spurrier loses the Fl and Clemsux games rumor has it he's retiring.

S. Car has proven that they can pull the talent to be a contender in the SEC....now we just need a coach who has not let the game pass him by.

Even if the head ball coach sticks around I look for a push to get jr out of there. He has made terrible calls all year.

Why is Gurly, Jeffery and Saunders not out there every play? Saunders is already NFL quality...get the ball to him atleast once every drive....open up the big plays to Gurly and Jeffery.

Garcia has yet to prove he can throw a fade route....why are thy trying to throw a fade route when down by a touch down????

If you wanna keep a consistant offensive line pick 5 linemen and stick with them.

If you decide that you want to play musical chairs with healthy linemen expect lots of errors and dont blame it on the young guys.

If your guys are missing assigments and allowng defenders in the back field every play dont run the ball on 3rd and 5

If you have a QB that can run like garcia WHY the hell are you going to try to keep him in the pocket like Dan Marino. You know he can throw on the run and he's getting very little help in terms of blocking...call more roll outs and QB keepers. One QB keeper a game is not using his versitility.

ok...rant done

SC will contend for the champion ship in the next 2-3 season. There just needs to be some adjustments made. I have a feeling the school will be the ones shaking things up next time around rather than Spurrier

the talent is already there. They have a killer set of recievers, two great tight ends, Garcia has proven himself as a QB and Miles/Giles at RB. The D will do nothing but better once the O can stay on the field and allow them a little more time to rest on the bench. Not sure if you noticed or not but time of posession is not a strong point for S. Car

now...seriously rant done

I'll drink to that

The rest of what you say makes sense as well.

You're new here, welcome aboard.
You might not see it but I'm a Carolina fan too. I was very excited when they got TOBC and have been more disappointed every year.
I'm also a Clemson fan. I went to both. The state championship game is always a decision to choose who to pull for. It sometimes comes down to which it would most benefit, otherwise which seems to be making the most of what they have.
This year it won't be hard to say. Unless, that is, the Tigers pull another MD style debacle between now and then.

I went to Clemson to get a certain degree when I was in my mid-twenties. I sat on the Carolina side at THE BIG GAME both years. I didn't become a vocal Clemson fan until I lived in Columbia for a while and found out what asshats most of the USC fans were around there.
Now I just like to see both of them win when they're not playing each other.

Then my son went to UGA. Go figger. So now I'm a three-way schizo.

Again, welcome. It's good to have a fresh voice on this thread.

When you said this "they will get their first SEC championship" I thought you were just a typical USuC fan, wait til next year.

Then I read this "Rumor has it the TCU head coach wants Spurriers job" and I realized you must be on crack and completely out of your mind. Why would a guy who has only lost 3 games in the last 3 years go to college footballs coaching graveyard and ruin his promising career. He can choose from any available job in the country if he wants to leave and there are going to be far better openings than USuC out there like Notre Dame.

I don't even know what to say about this one "Garcia has proven himself as a QB" what Garcia are you watching cause I haven't seen anyone named Garcia in a USuC jersey who has proven anything. All his good games have been against scrubs who they should beat and he should be able to throw on, then he goes out the next week against good teams and throws int's and makes poor decisions. He goes up and down more then the pistons in your dohc desol. Most of his big passing games are in loses cause they have to throw it 40 times due to the lack of running game.

"for the clemson game...i think we will force the run" Please do, since you have only faced 1 legitimate running back all year and he gashed you for 248 yards, thats like an early christmas gift for Clemson. Spiller is substantially faster than Ingram your safeties could run Ingram down all they will get of Spiller is a nice view of the #28 shrinking in the distance. If you try to force the run USuC will lose the game by 21+

"If spiller does not have a great game S. Car will win." Only slightly intelligent thing you have said so I thought I would point it out, we have depth though I know you guys in Columbia don't know what that is so I'll explain. It means we have other good players in the same position.

"Clemsons whole team is spit and sputter at best. The only thing clemson has going for them is spiller" Thats why Clemson has scored 38 pts or more in 4 straight games because everyone except Spiller sucks. Ford is the fastest player you'll see all year and one of the best receivers, Palmer is the best tight end youll see all year. The rest of the receivers have really stepped up the last 4 weeks and both our backup RB's are better than any USuC running back. USuC is averaging 12 pts a game over the last 4 that sputtering you hear is coming from your own car.

I never thought I'd see someone from USC as delusional as Clemson fans.

On my couch with some  &

Have you not looked at Garcias stats? He has no offensive line and has to throw on the run almost every play. He's accurate enough to throw for over 230yds a game and has had more than a couple 300+ yard games. Give the guy a line where he can plant his foot and throw the ball more accurately and he would have over 3,000 yds this year. He has proven himself IMO. This is the SEC not the ACC. What easy game have we had other than SC state and argueably NC state? Kentucky, Vandy, Tenn Bama, Georgia,Arkansas, Ole Miss?

Every game other than SC State has been fought tooth and nail for a win. There are no easy wins against SEC opponets. All of the defenses are quick, tackle well and have good size to them. Vandy, Kentucky and USC used to be the doormats of the SEC east, now they are so evenly matched they can come in any year and upset the big guys.

Should Garcia be with a team like Bama, LSU or Florida you would be seeing him listed on the heisman ballot.

Garcia has a great cast of recievers and a TE that could have gone to the pros last season.

I can't argue that Clemsux has better backs but Miles and Giles are no laughing matter.

We get our O line problems sorted out and stop calling plays that hinder the skills our players have and start calling plays that use the great talents we have, we could see an entirely different team is #2 in the east.

The TCU coach would take a job at USC for the same reasons Holtz and Spurrier would...it's the SEC...thats where the majority of the top recruits go and that is who has the best chance at the National Championship. Better national ESPN coverage, more media attention...i can go on if you'd like as to why the SEC is the best there is when it comes to college football.

It's all rumor...but a rumor that i really like.

You get a new coach in here who can shake things up a bit. Kiffin has shown that you don't have to be a big name in the SEC to pull big recruits from the word go. Look at bama, Nick Saban has proven you can be a complete a****** in the SEC, leave a team high and dry, go to another conferance and leave that school high and dry and come back to the SEC and pull great recruits. The talent just wants to be on ESPN and get their name in the papers so they can buy mom and dad a vacation home in the keys when they go to the NFL, not everyone can start in Georgia, Florida, Bama and LSU their freshman year.

The SEC is dominated by the D. Get in a coach like the TCU coach who already coaches as such.

My next suggestion is to the the HBC go and take jr with him...give the job to the young guys and see what they can do.

either way, we have great commitments this season, had a great recruiting class last year. As the guys get older, smarter, bigger they will continue getting better.

I've been a S.Car fan since i was 5 and this is the closest they have been to a great team that i can remember, every game they are just one or two big plays away from being "great".

did you not see the 5 touchdowns that he had called back the first 3 games of the year becaue of offensive holding and one was offensive pass interference?

Garcia is a great player, he does not have the vision of Tebow but he's faster. He also doesn't have the time in the pocket that Tebow does.

Give him an option style offense and a HBC that will let an option style QB play option style football.

There is a reason so many schools tried to get Garcia.

He's not playing to his potential because of play calling and no help up front, but he's playing very well for what he's given.

And i'll give him props, he gets hit a LOT and always gets back up.

If i were him i'd be spending more time in the film room with my recievers/TE

I don't think he has quite grasped the fine mechanics to be a superior QB in the SEC yet but his skill is there, should he have a team that dosen't open up the flood gates on him every drive he might find the drive to spend the time in the film room he needs to get to that level.

His skill level is there, it's his mentality/vision/knowledge that needs work.

I know the guy has a kid in florida and probably can't dedicate as much time to studying film/hanging out after practice to work routes with recievers like he should. If they guy would pick it up his last two years there is no reason the guy can't go to the pros.

and have you sen McCullum? How about the two QB's we've got coming from Boiling Springs and Woodruff?

If you don't like Garcia style football and want that wide open west coast football that doesn't work in the SEC these tall guys with an arm will fit your ticket.

To win in the SEC you have to have 2 things...a stout D and a great O line to build a run game off of.

An option style QB does nothing but make your running game that much more of a threat.

With all the success other teams are having with the wild cat formation and Garcia being quick on his feet i'd run that style offense...alot (wild cocky i think they call it)

Garcia can throw, run...have yet to see him run a good option sweep.

The talent just has to be used the right way.

I thought Clemson fans were bad, but after moving to Columbia 2 weeks ago these USC fans are CRAZY. All of them in this town sound just like dohc. You must have spent a lot of time in Columbia?

I listen to 107.5 The Game all the time here now and laugh my ass off. I am sure the locals in Anderson/Greenville drink the orange kool-aid too though.

Just remember guys, it's all just superficial entertainment played by a bunch hormone crazed kids with middle aged drill sergents yelling orders.

With that said, Clemson is over-rated right now. Expect a Maryland like collapse within the next 2 weeks, and at the very best a loss to GT in Tampa.

This is more fun than watching a monkey hump a football.
Or maybe that's exactly what it it.

Well, after last nights thumping of Denver...I feel today would be a nice swing to talk about the Steelers!!!!

if the Cocks beat Florida this sat who's going to help me riot downtown?

I could be wrong, but I don't believe 60 minutes is long enough for USC to get their 1500 yds. of offense to score 5 TD's to rally against Florida.

What I mean is, I believe UF will score more TD's in the first half than USC has scored in the last 4 games.

However if you do beat them and they still beat Alabama, I suspect they will still be in the BCS Championship game.

Garcia is a great player,

Without a doubt the funniest and most absurd comment ever posted in this thread. Great must be a relative term in this statement like great for USuC or great for an elite HS football team or great for a guy who has been arrested multiple times. College Football Power Rankings These are the rivals position rankings which don't even put him in the top 25 QB's. And on the 300+ yds thing he has had 4 games 3 of them loses, like I said when he throws for a lot its cause they are losing and can't establish the run and they have no other choice.

What easy games have they had? NC St isn't that good, Vandy is terrible they are 2-8 just because you play in the SEC does not make you good, winning games makes you good. UK is not good either they might be 5-4 but their wins are against miami of ohio, louisiana monroe, eastern kentucky, and similar scrub teams. What about that powerhouse Florida Atlantic you played.

Florida in a rout this weekend.
