Looks much better painted.

Does it stick out much further than the stock bumper? Compared to the incognito version, is the winch mounted in the same place or is it pushed out further?

yes ... the bumper is designed for high clearance and great approach angle in order to do that the winch is pushed up higher ...

To compare the SSO bumper with the factory one ... if you measure from the bottom of your factory grill to the outside of the factory bumper its about 5 " .... the SSO bumper measures about 9" ... so its 4" farther out ... looks like alot more bc the bumper angles from the very front straight to the frame rails where the stock bumper is kind of the opposite in shape father out at the bottom and closer to the grill at the top...

the winch is also about 8 to 9" higher in the SSO than it would be in the Incognito bumper which fits behind the factory bumper...

hope this makes sense ... and helps

Thanks! I think the rear only kick out would be good for me as I only intend to put a short rack on, stopping behind the sunroof, so the front step/kickout would probably not be used much. The group buy eventually would also work for me as, where I live, I won't be needing sliders until late spring anyway--SO PERFECT!!

yeah after this new design I wish i would have made mine that way from the start ... and rear step is my favorite and very useful from getting kids and gear in the 3rd and 4th doors and comfortably accessing the roof rack with good balance to use both hands ... probly my favorite design feature

That definitely helps and makes sense. Does the incognito bumper offer additional features beyond the winch mounting and tow hook locations?

Its cheaper than a full steel offroad bumper , keeps the look of factory bumper, is stronger than the factory bumper structure, makes other GX owners jealous, and makes popcorn

Tax money is coming soon and I would like to share some of it with you gentleman. SO PULL IT TOGETHER ALREADY. thanks

It's to bad we didn't get to meet up at Windrock. What trails did you guys take?

Man o man, how in the world did you not go over driving that vertical wall? You had to have been at least on a 90* angle.

I know I was really hoping to meet up with you guys but we had no cell service or Internet at our cabin... communication was limited. .. guess we should have exchanged number before hand ...
We got in on trail blue trail 22 from the park ... then from 22 took G1 green trail to blue 11 trail which I believe put us out on the hwy somewhere and we drove home from there ... but not before stopping by a convenient car wash in rout to the cabin
It was a great riding experience though over all ... I'd like to spend a week out there

I know I was surprised how well the General Grabbers gripped ;)

And btw if anyone is wondering these tires have done me very well through rock, wet, and even did well on the snow and icy roads ... not a full on mud or ice tire but havent failed me yet ... being on an AWD gx probly help to though
:pompous:

I use HAM up there and we can talk from town to the cabins, and even to the town facing trails! :p
