Well here ya go scat man ... work another late night ... starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel View attachment 1143869 View attachment 1143870 View attachment 1143871 View attachment 1143872
Only main thing left to do on the rear is the actual mounting ring for my spare tire ... but I seem to lost my stud bolt so I'll pick up studs and lugs tomorrow

do you guys have any pictures of the newer bumper with the fuel can holder? Need to order

Also just a question, I notice the 4runner bumper carries 2 can and the GX only one, why?

GX upright for the tire carrier is more toward the center of the truck to take advantage of the license plate area as the heim joint attachment point. This inhibits fitting two jerry cans. The 4Runner bumper is mounted more towards the passenger side so we can squeeze them in there.

OK thanks, and thank you for the email reply. helping me decide just what I want

we'll also been designing a swing away roto pax mount for the ladder soon as well so you can have the ladder and fuel at the same time

thanks,
1) not sure I want to use Rotopax, not sure they are worth the money for the amount of fuel they carry
2) will look at it if its ready by the time I order.

Again, I think you guys do good work, thanks

Is it possible to center the tire and have a Jerry can on each side? Saw that on a Jeep once.

we'll be fitting a 3gallon roto tank to the first one bc i believe they are widest ... you can always stack two for 6gallons

we off set the tire for weight distribution towards the spindle and being off center helps the with the heim joint bc it needs to be off center to work with door ... aswell as giving room for the ladder
to move the tire any wheres else means hrs of re designing connected components that give the tire carrier strength

I think a hi-lift mount option should be standard and a great option to add. I had to be a bit creative.

I was thinking of buying a CBI dual jerry can holder, will the rear tubing in for the fuel can support that?

you guys are going to start hating me. When I order a bumper, will it be build like the pictures here or like the ones on SSO website. this one looks much beefier and I think nicer looking, really like the looks of the bracing for the tire carry and I would guess the fuel holder, so I would like to know.

Mountain we do have a Hi-lift jack mount now that attches the base to the swingarm on the pass side and the jack angles towards the driver side behind the tire and it is designed as a bolt on option

yes the current model is very similar to this ... when i built mine i completely revamped the swingarm design so that all components are now laser cut and formed sheet metal and plate steel instead of structural steel ... the only difference is dimpled bracing arms arent bent at a 90deg angle towards the truck its more of a 45deg angle ... and we only put one up brace towards the tire on the pass side instead of two... sorry our website photos havent been updated in awhile ... i'll see if i can find a customer photo to share ...

i cant believe i didnt post a pic of my rear bumper completely finished yet ... and i lost my phone over the weekend :(... hopefully they are in the cloud

Do Like!

Is there a latch to hold bumper open when opening rear door? or does it stay in place pretty well on it's own?

not sure i understand your question @ultrakill ... but the swing arm is attached to the rear door in a way that they open together just as you do now ... and you lock it down with the HD latch to add rigidity ... to i guess you can say the swing arms are double double locked for security and peace of mind ... no worries of it opening on its own

Yeah that kind of answers my question, I wasn't sure how it swings out (but could tell it swings out same way as door). I was asking if it will "push" the regular door shut if you are on an incline, or if it will stay open when the door is also open.

You kind of answered my question saying that they open together.

Like, thanks for the pictures

got a quote to paint it body color, $650, so now I need to decide on that.

how do you like the 4.10s on the highway? any wish to bump it up to 4.30?
