Alex I am probably gonna be riding with JP if he just goes for the day so I'm there. Try and convince him of some non Tellico options.

JP,

Some of those Rover links you posted are fun rides. I've done Richland Gap lots of times - it's in my backyard, about an hour from me. Also, the Wilson Creek watershed area (around Globe road) has lots of trails / areas to explore as well. There are lots of places to explore in that direction but it's a little further for you SC guys...

Let me know what you're brewing for the weekend. My hunting license is always valid and I always have it with me. Throw the 12 gauge and some shells in the Cruiser for some small game hunting and we're legit. Just don't know about multiple vehicles on one NC license...

I'll need a little heads up for the weekend if an adventure is to be had!!!

Okay, here it is:

The location scout (jeff) is traveling to the Upstate this weekend. This means we need to offer solid suggestions by Wed. at the latest.

Still, I think he may opt to go to Tellico for the Fain Creek crossing. Also, do I have any volunteers who wish to assist him in the search?

Damn Alex. I wish I could help scout out a few places but I just spent a whole week in ATL and this weekend has to be with the wife. Will help if we find a location though. I sure I can get away for a day. Just call me and let me know what you are thinking about.

Cool Andy, I plan on heading up to the Aguer Hole road Friday and I am going to mnt. bike to see what is like; I will try to go the ranger station or find a ranger and ask about road access............

As for this weekend, I will give you the heads up as soon as I know, It really depends on the FJ cruiser guy and if he wants/needs our help. So I should know by Wed. night what is going on for sure.

I went camping/exploring this weekend and found exactly what they are looking for if all they want is a creek crossing that meets the specs they gave. Its up near burrells ford, probably 2 miles from where we went that time with the horse trails. I've got pics and some better information on the location that i'll post sometime tonight or tomorrow

cool john, post up some pics for sure!!! I'd like to know where you were, I wash just over that way friday checking out some trails........... didn't come across any good river crosssings.

What road where you on??

So, we were camping and when we woke up there were 2 nice looking dogs laying beside my car, thin as a rail and shaking from the cold. We picked them up and called the owner. He lives in the national forest and knows the area like the back of his hand. He told me about this place and one other I went. This is at the end of Earls Ford Road, which you get to by turning right off of hwy 28 onto Warwoman Rd, then Left onto Earls Ford Rd. Its about 100 ft. across and has a depth ranging from 3 in. to about 27 in. On the other side is one of the most beautiful campsites I've ever seen. I'll definantly be making a return trip. I also found another place that isnt FJ worthy, but still cool.

It got a little deeper than this at one point. The camera died while i was crossing the creek so i didnt get my video or any other pics.

You can see where the road continues on the other side of the creek.
