I thought I had posted this, but our neighbor at Fort Fisher caught this last year. I think it's called a Needlefish and they can get quite large.

Spent the week in Rodanthe and did a little surf fishing…1 dog shark and a black drum. Still beats a day in the office! Nice sunsets on the sound and the infamous Black Pearl condemned but still standing.

We did a little fishing up in the mountains last week! But only a small rainbow…
Thinking of this blue marlin we had on the wire last spring, waiting for the water to warm up!
Went (freshwater) fishing this past weekend for the first time in... a few years?? We stayed at an AirBnB on a small lake in SC (literally floating on the lake) and they had a kayak to rent. Caught a handful of large mouth bass (the ones where I didn't have my phone were a little bigger of course). I think I may be hooked... May need to start looking for a kayak.
A couple from the past few weeks. More reds this year. Last year was dominated by trout. Glad I found this thread!
That 2nd one is a good size, what lake is this?
It’s out of a saltwater creek outside of Charleston sc. not NC, but our local groups aren’t too active so I hang out here more often.
