firewall got the OD
so I started getting back on the ball. I cleaned up and took everything off of the firewall and epoxy primed and painted with it. Took forever to get the overspray from the bastard that sprayed the bedliner. You definitely get what you pay for and I would not recommend him. But dealing with it now. I got it all off except the tag.. gotta see if I can get it off without ruining the data on it.

Advance Adapter shift linkage woes
I dropped the motor back in but I can't take it off the hoist until I put the tranny and tcase in. I bought my Advanced Adapter for the tcase to NV4500 from Georg @ Valley Hybrids and I didn't get the shift bracket nor spacer. Or any kind of instructions. He didn't think it came with it, which it does. I said no biggie, I'd make my own. It didn't work so I thought their bracket had some kind of angle to it that I didn't get down... Figured screw it, time is money. So I called up AA and talked to a few different people, Jim and Matthew mainly. I got the bracket shipped to me.. Still had to pay $24 for something I already paid for but never got. Not too happy about that. But OK fine. Once I received it and got the same results on the tcase shifter position, I called trying to get some idea on how the hell it is suppose to install properly. Jim said he would have to research and call me back. When he did, he had no clue where the space is to be used (that's lovely.. it is THEIR kit right?) and was told to cut 0.5" off the large threaded side. Did that and tried every angle, used shims.. Looks like this with the bracket from them on:
And this is the issue... the piece that is suppose to go into the notch is too far out.
And jacking with it.. I ended up, because it was too far out, breaking the little plastic square against the notch! You can see I sorta stuck it back on above. But below shows it
Has anyone had any luck or know anyone who has used this adapter and maybe could tell me what I'm doing wrong? It's the only thing keeping me from having it all back in the rig.
If all else fails I'll build a metal piece that extends it. But it is suppose to not require that. Going to call them tomorrow again and see what happens.

Today I called and had a good talk with Matthew at AA. He was a pretty cool guy. Sorta came to the conclusion that I was missing yet more parts. However, wanting to sell me ANOTHER part that I somehow never got for ~ 3 bucks that is like a spacer extension replacing the pivot and plastic shoe, I was excited.. small and cheap. YAY! But then he said shipping was $11!! Really.. toss it in an envelope for crying out loud or give it to a pigeon! I am going to weld myself an extension on there rather than pay $13 for yet another piece I never received. Just the principle of the thing. Nothing against Georg@Valley Hybrids either, where I got the adapter from, but I didn't get all the parts and should have just ordered directly from AA because I'm just at the same price as buying directly from them and a lot of frustration as a result.
Maybe I will just use this time to do a twin stick setup.

So looking around in ACE for some hardware to make the shoe extension, I came up with one from a small piece of tension pin that was the perfect diameter as the shoe pin and used a nylon bushing to close the back. All of $1.50 or so I think. And George got me the part # for a new shoe bushing (the little square I broke) so I will get a new one of those. Evidently the shift linkage geometry is different between certain years *shrug*

Finally installed
Enough of the in and out. The drivetrain is back in to stay New throwout and pilot bearings, clutch and all installed. I just need to measure my driveshafts and go get them fixed up. Going to stay with the stockers for now I think. Anyone think upgrading them to tom wood's is needed? Anyways it's all mated up and just needs fluid and wiring up. This is a milestone!

Oddie is a princess and wants new shows
Ordered new brake goods for a 95 4Runner V6 (thanks Trent for the year info) and sacrificed the cruiser ones to the core gods! Also got new lines that go over the knuckles that turn. Mine looked aged.

No use or need for tom woods. Just have them redone by a local shop and it will be good.

Stock toyota joints on the drive shaft should hold up fine. I ran mine for a couple years with no problems from the joints. While I do have an auto I did have it shifting pretty hard and they've held up great.

Sweet! Then I will just have them resized and be happy. I need to make sure of the angle for the rear. I hadn't burn the perches on. I did get the new calipers, pads and wheels on.

Got the Trail Worthy Fab recentered H1s with Baja T/A tires. Really excited. Except one I put on had a leak. Turns out it was a not so cleaned PVC insert that they put in that compromised the O-ring.
I took it apart and this is the problem:
Cleaned and re-installed the outer wheel half:
New shoes on!

No, it seals the two wheel halves together. You read it wrong . The pvc insert wasn't cleaned after it was cut and that trash caused the outer wheel half to not seal. Best place to have a leak though. Stop being a Monday, Trent ! ;p

I always go back and read boots' build thread. Anytime I get thinking about how much is left, I just read some of family haulin' and baaam! I'm back out there with fresh inspiration! Just wanted to say thanks for an awesome thread!
