The stove listed above is an Optimus, I carried mine around in my ruck sack for 11 years while I was in the Army, Great stove.

For the past 30 years I have been carrying my Coleman lantern around in the cardboard box that in which it came. After this season I realize that even as great as duct tape is it ain't going to fix the box anymore. I been thinking of getting one of those molded plastic clamsheel goldenrod cases but I am not sure if my 220E lantern will fit. Does anyone know for sure if it will fit?

picked up 3 Coleman globes today in the cardboard box for a buck each at a yard sale...........they will come in handy........

Was down at my hunting camp yesterday:D, and found my old Coleman 220 K lantern in a my old school bus camper:hillbilly:, that i now use for storage. The lantern has a mfg. date of 11/79.......was full of fuel:hhmm:. And i had just ran our of gas in my riding mower, mowing around camp :wrench:( did not want to drive to town for gas):hhmm: .........recycled the fuel in lantern in the lawn mower and finshed mowing grass around camp.:hillbilly:

Too cool

Classic! Absolute Classic!

Found an old 220 K lantern at my wifes old house that she used when they were kids. Date on it is an 82, but it needs a globe.

I also found an old military vehicle stove model 523 at an antique store. Everything was there in good condition for $75. What are these worth?

That is cool, possibly even worth a Guinness record perhaps.

But if you read the fine print on the last page of the Guinness Book of World Records it notes that all world records are held by Chuck Norris, and those listed in the book are simply the closest anyone else has ever gotten.

picked up some more ole school coleman stuff the other day-----------:D

I have a quite the stash of Coleman stuff. 3 burner stove, 1 med. 2 burner, and 2 sm. 2 burners stoves one of which is a 1/79 production date (birthday 1/8/79). I believe that I have 8 coleman white gas lanterns in different shapes and sizes. We use them for Elk Camp.
