Having no mechanical skills and after looking at your axles, I'm debating on wether to drop my axles and restoring them to look as nice as yours. Any advice or insight?

It's not hard at all. Good set of jack stands, 12, 14, and 17 mm sockets and wrenches, and just unbolt everything. The only issue will be dealing with stuck bolts (but you just got a lift installed correct?) and having to bleed the brakes once its all back together. Maybe a new set of u bolts, as most people recommend not re using them. The hardest part is getting the guts to dive in.

Absolutely, its just nuts and bolts at the end of the day :)
And if you get stuck there's heaps of info here on mud and plenty of people willing to help. I still remember the first time I tore down the front end to do my swivel housings etc on my FJ40 (first car I owned) - didn't know a thing, took me 7 days and a FSM to get it done but I got it done! Could probably do it in half a day now but diving into it and getting it done gave me the confidence to tackle bigger things....

Speaking of tackling things, got some stuff achieved today.
Took the bus to the mechanic round the corner to crack the pinion nut and install a multi-drilled flange w new staking nut etc for the front diff (air tools are definitely next on my list).
Got the front tail shaft reinstalled after that then topped up the front diff oil.
Then made some chain stays for the rear mudflaps to stop them getting caught up in the wheel wells.
Then I re-made the D/S shock tower (got the F250 shock towers in the mail today :))

The length of the 250 tower worked out perfectly. The bottom of the tower almost rests on the lip of the top of the bump stop and the top of the tower has about 7-8mm clearance to the inner fender....The biggest thing that bugged me about the tower I fabbed up was that it just about touched the inner fender...I ended up using the same bolt holes in the end though but had to weld in a crush tube to the lower righthand one because it ended up right on the corner of the tower.
Might get around to doing the P/S mount tomorrow if I find some motivation...

Thought I'd post some more pics of the power steer conversion....

I cut a section out of the engine mount (on the pink line) because I was worried that the mount might hit the box....(is a diesel after all)

Top uni joint on the left is the HJ60 one (14mm maybe???) and the one that i used on the right that mates to the FJ55 steering column is off a HZJ80 (18mm???)

Took it out to some local trails and found some puddles and a bit of mud today. Definitely need to sort out some extensions for the bumpstops as the inner lip on the front guards got a bit of a touch up...otherwise went really well!

Yep. I would prepare to replace all your bushings (spring and shackle) while you have everything taken apart...

Thanks Pablo, don't follow my design on the bracket too closely as it looks slightly bent after taking it out last weekend. Will hopefully get it straightened out and braced before too long...

Ah! Good to know! Yes, please keep us updated.

Well I got it straightened out this arvo and wrapped some 20mmx5mm flat bar around the edge of part that bent. Pretty sure it'll hold up now, seems that I totally under estimated the force on the damper!

Pic to show how bent it was.....

And straightened out plus some extra support....
