Righto might just do that then thanks Bob. Not 100% on the offset, the wheels I have on at the moment are -22 offset and the new rims poke out 5mm wider than them.

Should have the tail shafts back in a few days, no real idea on getting the handbrake sorted as of yet...am maybe thinking of making a bracket to join the HZJ75 cable to the 55 one. Also have 2 spots on the tranny tunnel where the box hits so have some sheet metal work to do.
Hopefully make some progress this coming weekend....

Realistically turbo is a fair while away, really just want to get the gearbox and wheels done and enjoy it on (or off) the road before I pull crap apart again.

Well it's been a while, moved house so have had minimal time and also no undercover area to work on the bus....
Although somewhere in between the searing heat I did make some progress on the front suspension as the front end had a sag which was bugging me...and I wanted more lift
After trolling through Archie's thread on 75 series spring swaps (has some awesome info) and given that I'd used the 75 springs on the rear I decided to give it a go. I ended up using EFS heavy duty fronts (because my bulbar weighs half a ton) with a 2.5inch lift.

Am pretty happy with how it turned out, the only thing that I'm going to change is the front shackle hanger. Pretty sure its bought up in Archies thread but the 75 springs and bushes are wider than the 55's. To overcome this in the meantime I had to pack it with washers either side....
I'm planning on using 32NB pipe that has a 4mm wall thickness (giving it a 34.4I.D) which I'm going to weld in place of the factory bushing tube so that I can run 35mm bushings.

Pretty sure I have some weld on shackle hangers floating around if you want them mate, just need to find them. Looking good though mate.

I also started playing around with the turbo setup however after getting halfway through making my 3inch dump pipe I realized I'd welded the pipe onto the flange upside down!!!! Haha I actually just started pissing myself laughing once I worked it out. Needless to say though its been sitting ever since.

For you Pablo....
Used the same crossmember I made for the 4 speed however I modified it slightly to lower the gearbox by 15mm or so
And shifter. Hard to see properly because of the light but I grafted a 60 series top cover onto the 55 tunnel. Also had this tunnel setup with my 4 speed (which was originally out of a FJ60) so the H55 went in pretty easily.

They are 60 series ones from locktup, is that gonna be the right size? I can have a scrounge around all my junk this arvo and see if I can find them for you, they are no use to me anymore.
