Yeah I think it's fixed it! It's still straight after taking it out last weekend.
Got some extensions for the bump stops sorted yesterday and also finally mounted the p/s shock tower and new shock also...
Will get some pics up tomorrow and hopefully also take it for a spin to test it all out.

Photo of P/S bump stop extension (made it longer than the drivers side so I could tie the shock tower into it)

Was surprised to find a hole in the chassis under the original shock mount...was a pain in the ass to cut out too!

Decided to only use one of the holes in the F250 towers and then weld the bottom of the tower to the bump stop extension which is held in with 3x M8 bolts to the existing holes in the chassis.

Finished product. Still need to get some longer bolts though.

Also got some photo's of some wiring I did the other week.
I realized that the glowplug and starter circuit weren't actually protected so I made up a bakerlite panel which I mounted some AMI fuse holders onto. Also mounted a redarc dual battery solenoid under the panel and picked up a optima yellowtop for $100 which I may get installed sometime soon....
Will probably mount the 2nd battery in the back as it's getting freaking cramped under the bonnet!
Also mounted the plug for the winch controller on the outside guard just in front of the indicator (can just make it out in the photo)

Would you guys use the 2nd hole in the F250 tower?? I just felt uneasy about having another hole through the chassis. Am pretty confident that it'll hold up the way it is now.

I am not crazy about additional holes either. We welded mine on.

Yeah I'd weld them on if I could but I'm under strict instructions from my engineer not to weld to the chassis. He's fine with crush tubes etc but wont let me do bigger things... (We've got pretty crazy rules over here and I wont to be sure that everything is all legit and don't have to worry about being pulled over)

On another note I picked this up the other week...rebuilt with all new internals and upgraded gears etc..

H55F?!? Please show us how the shifter hole through the tranny tunnel will work. Also what you do for a cross member...

5 Speed and I'm not sure what that little fuzz ball is, but I suspect you're right, she'll be time consuming. :)

Haha yeah you're right Ron he's alright when sleeping on the couch but is a big distraction otherwise...

Will take heaps of photos for you Pablo. Am thinking its going to be straight forward though given that I'm currently running a HJ60 4 speed with splitcase tranny. Should use the same shifter holes as the gearbox top plate looks almost identical and the cross member should bolt straight up. Well I guess i'll find out anyway, still a while off though...

Made progress in another direction today - have always wanted to run the factory wheels and hubcaps but could never bring myself to run the cheese cutter 16 inch rims and tires. Amazingly I found a set of 5 factory rims that were modified onto a 15x7 band which I snapped up instantly. I got the old crappy tires taken off today and had a bit of a test fit only to find that the front calipers fowl but the rears are fine.
Am taking them to get modified on Tuesday, 2 rims are a different offset for starters but I want new 15x8 bands welded in on all 5 rims.

Pic of the a rim and hubcap on the rear full floater. The hubcap was actually bloody hard to get off because of the deeper dish. Am thinking of getting some of those plastic door panel pulling tools to help with getting them to come off....

Have made some progress with the new shoes...got one back from the wheel dude last week to do a test fit and check offset, clearances etc. before he welds them all up.
Love the look of them but not totally sure what colour to go with...am leaning towards a grey/pewter

Ended up drilling all the rivits holding the clips (on this rim anyway) because 3 of the 5 were broken. Also pulled 3 old split rims out the shed and got the clips off them to use as donors for the new rims (couple of them have busted off).
Not totally sure how to mount them back on however....was going to weld them on but then realized that they're probably spring steel and welding them will weaken them. Have been looking at solid rivits like the originals but its something I've never done.

Anyone have any ideas?

Those look great!
I like the good old "electric panel gray" for the steel wheel color...
