BRKLYN1,

Throw some cyclocross tires on the middle ridgid ride. Single speeds rule!   I have had a few:).

the single speed is realy a two speed kick back coaster brake hub from the sixty's it is a great get around bike.

my metal frame huffy kicks ass.

Old Bontrager frames(pre trek) are supposed to be VERY nice. I want a nice steel mountain bike as my next bike purchase.

Oh and Huffy sucks!:D We destroyed a huffy at the mountain bike race this weekend, we all stomped it and threw it in the air.:flipoff2:

I like the old Bontrager bikes too, almost bought one on ebay a while back...you can still find them new in the box if that means anything.

You might just need the new 07 Fisher Ferrous:

just resurected our schwinn twinn deluxe. I spray painted some of the rust spots with black paint....the original yellow with the black spots has become.................the cheetah................it weighs approx. 100 lbs. even the derailleur is steel.....no chincy aluminum on this baby....one piece forged cranks...you gettin' the message? Hmmm actually I wonder if the motorcycle hub on the back has ally in it???

i am guessing that thing will weigh 38-40lbs??

How many people did that take?

Just one person. The winner of the pixie bike joust got the honor of tossing the huffy.
I looked at the huffy the next morning, some how the top tube was ripped off, and the whole bike mangled

Just read Dekerf is going out of business.
Get one while you can-doors close Jan 2007.

There are many good builders- but Vanilla has the prize for me. Sacha White is just so good and has the magical mix of skill and aesthetics

Now who woudn't want a tricycle like this when you were a kid????

Ah, now we're talkin'

My main ride is a Phil Wood SS EBB singlespeed with a Kelly rigid fork and Hayes disk brakes. These frames are welded by Sycip in Santa Rosa, CA.

Before that it was a Gunnar Ruffian SS (853) also with a Kelly rigid fork.

I've got a Jamis Dragon 853 hardtail that I rode a lot, but now it's just a frame. I agree; great deal for the price.

This year I built up a very new looking almost-black purple '91 Specialized Stumpjumper Team frame with '91 XT components. Thumbies and 7 speed rock!

I often commute on a jet black Ibis Sonoma roadie converted to fixed gear with a White Bros ENO rear hub. It's made of Moron tubing. It's called that because it's got more on the ends (double butted). 26 miles one way takes a toll on my work hours, so I haven't been able to do it every day like I used to.

I'm also Fast Eddy over on http://www.mtbr.com. Hit me up for a ride if you're ever in the bay area. Lots of good trails around here.

My Phil Wood is about like this, but with ultra-rare blue ano hubs:

I rode Karpiel Armageddons until I scared myself and now I have a little tiny Kona hardtail. Knowing that I will die for sure, made me stop doing really stupid stunts on mountain bikes.

The steel baskets on my commuter weigh more than some of your bicycles :crybaby: That tricycle is outrageous.
