this is my beater planet-X pitbull. 8 lb. steel frame.
it doesn't pedal worth a s***, but decends like mad, urban, free-ride, trials(not with me riding it). i'm sure it will survive the apocalypse. DSCN0094.webp

I just got this steel steed up and running for opening day at Diablo freeride park.

if you guys want steel bikes, there's a steel builder in the philippines that is VERY good... his name is ave maldea.. in fact he frequently gets orders from abroad... the welding is worldclass both in cleanliness and strength... he uses dedacciai tre steel tubing usually.. ill try to see if i can post one of my bikes that he made...

whats more, he charges only 200 to 250 dollars for an unpainted custom bike. thats INCLUSIVE of the materials.. it takes him about 2 weeks.
 
Cool. I wound up building a Redline Monocog Flight 29er. I got a deal on the frame that couldn't be passed up. Love it.

Was probably a good choice. I cracked my On One--it was retired late last summer. Now hanging on the wall in the basement. Maybe I'll make some art out of the frame tubes.
