Whew. Barely found one of the foothills on the last day of April. Another good one but march was better.

Vacation away from the summer heat of Charlotte. Drove the Beartooth highway yesterday and took a short (3 hour) hike up to one of the few places at 10,000 feet that are clear of snow.

They had a heck of a year for snow this past winter and I am guessing that some of the really high passes may not melt this summer.

I had trouble deciding what to drink, so I just poured them both. My wife and I both love Ommegang brewery… Hennepin is a delicious beer. But sometimes you just want an Abita Turbodog!

Another round. Pike IPA was worth getting again.
Duvel was different but I'd get the tripel hop again.

Pike IPA is pretty dang good. We drank that along with the Diamond Head Industrial IPA daily when we spent a few months in Washington… I really need to bring a 6 pack over to your place and check out that Troopie!

Most Pike beers are pretty damn good...... mad it to their brewery back in March.
