Wowsers I’ve been out of it for a while, sorry I haven’t kept up with the build! Rig is looking good though, love the wheels and tyres.

Sorry my pump rebuild didn’t work, I think it was a cheap Chinese seal kit. If you still have the pump I’d be happy to tear it back down and have another look at it. I have a full machine shop now with much better tooling and materials. I can even get proper bearing materials like sintered bronze etc.
Thanks for the offer but I think I'm good for the time being, and frankly it would just sit in a box.

Took the piggy away for a few nights camping to Noosa North Shore over the school holidays. We didn't venture up the beach to Double Island Point as it was really busy with people towing oversize caravans and P plate drivers ( only just licensed drivers) and the beach speed limit was 80kph (50mph) and my old thing struggles with that on the road!

Had to stop at the local carwash though, just for the sign!

So, after buying another FJ45in March, I needed to sell the 55, and thats finally happened. I think its gone to a good home, new owner has a '77 FJ45 and he wanted a wagon to match it. Hes also going to give the body work some love which was the next step for this car.

But, a few days after dropping the 55 off, we had alunch at a local brewery that had these two 55's. The ute chop seemed to be done pretty well, but there was rust in the A pillars. The complete wagon was set up for running beer kegs out of the taps on the side and seemed like a neat car overall.
