there is tinted and clear glass

what part number did you use?
Figures!....

Part I wanted: 68111-90302
Defaulted to the part I received: 68111-90304

I take it, the 90302 maybe clear while the 90304 is tinted green?

I know you said you're OCD, Rick... but, is it really going to be noticeable to a mere mortal??

I'm colorblind, so I'm not a "mere mortal"... it's not that obvious to me.

looks like it was superseded to that number... IE no more clear glass

used may be the only way to go now

Yep, working on obtaining some decent clear glass. Thanks......OR, just leave the bikini top on and no doors! Thus, I reinstall the old scratched glass, but try to polish it as best I can. Which the top and doors would only be installed for a short Winter season......Hummmmmmm

I do like this look.

Another possible option might be to have a uniform tinted film applied to ALL the glass to eliminate the contrast. Benefit would be reduced heat in the summer with the top on. Some tint shops have a liquid tint they float over curved glass.

Since the film is removable, could test fit a piece for color matching. (Various states prohibit film on front windshield; some allow a top strip.)

Anyway, just a thought, when only new glass available is factory tinted.

Dadgummit, your truck is so freakin' beautiful! That pic is just something else.

Sorry... carry on with the banter about window tinting.

What glass pieces do you need? I have some extra door glass that's in good shape you can have if it would help.

My Friend, I'd be much obliged! It would be at least the drivers side door glass for a '77 FJ40.....I swear, it looks like someone tried to use an old pair of metal spiked golf shoes to clear frost off of it....send me a PM if you have a few pieces.

Making progress on my door refurbishment. Cleaned up all the working parts as best I could. WD40, a toothbrush and a small paint brush were my weapons of choice. Then I hit the latch & lock with some Kano Dryphite and the regulator with some white lithium grease.

Next, install all new Toyota OEM felts and channel rubber, then the glass. For the vapor barrier, I'll wrap it up with two coverings of plastic carpet protector. Then install new Toyota OEM door panels, painted with SEM classic coat vinyl paint, to closely match the OEM color...........Then I get to start the drivers side door.

Rick...can you give me the part numbers for the OEM door panels?

Did you find all the clips for the panels?
