Yea, we say, your's done gone and got "blowed off"....where as, mine hasn't been "blown off" yet. If it does, well you know, it will have been "blowed off".Rub it in! We say "blowed off"!
If my replacement ever arrives, it will be tethered to my air cleaner... hopefully, my ac won't get blowed off...
Nope, it is amazing how well WD-40 cut that 37 year old oil film, and with somewhat ease.Did you shine up the inside too?
Mine has a baffle in the inner rear--I assume to keep the oil vapors down going into the pcv/vent. I didn't see that baffle in yours--Is this something that can be removed, if necessary?
I think I'm missing 2 screws--thanks for the pics--Mine has the yellow zinc plated metal baffle as well, I just took it out to clean it and under it. I reinstalled the baffle, gasket and all six bolts with some thread locker. I don't think you would want to permanently remove it.

Ha! I've been missing a few for a long time--ask my wife--at least I don't have any that are loose--they kinda fall out faster these daysGoodgod, man--never admit you're "missing a few screws" !
X2^^ Now you're just rubbing it in!!![]()
What tranny and you going to run with your new F2? I will be doing this exact same swap with an 86 F2. I have a 72 40 which has a 3 speed tanny. I have to option of buying the tanny out of the 60 I'm getting the F2 from but I don't think it will fit without cutting out the rear cross member? I would like to avoid cutting up my frame it possible!
Thanks Josh
Where did you get the OEM radiator?Come this Spring/Summer, I have a major project slated for my rig. I will be installing a new 2F power plant out of an '86 FJ60. The engine work has begun, and thanks to Beno, the machinist has most all the parts to get this done. While the shop is balancing & blueprinting my engine, I'm getting other new Toyota OEM parts for this change. Here are some update photos.
