I just took the OEM caps off and put the hose on with a hoseclamp - has worked for the past 8 years, never had one come off :meh:

That's how mine is now as well but the front is at a 90 I'd rather it be straight up towards the vent under the hood and both factory vent barbs are smaller diameter so they're pinched tight with the hose clamp these ought to clean it up the way I'd like :)

The wife's clutch bearing on the Sequoia is starting to sing on occasion I started soaking it with some fluid film and it'll quiet up but thats not going to hold so my question is can you replace just the bearing on that clutch assembly? Gonna do some research but wanted to poll the experts that may already know :) Thanks

Looking for a user's manual for a Warn x8000i because I need to rebuild one. I have checked Warn's site and combed though quite a few google searches and keep coming up empty. Anybody have one or have an idea where I can get one?

Yeah, I've seen those views on Warn's site. Unfortunately they don't give enough detail on the wiring of the solenoids. I picked up one today from one of the CY guys for $100. We got it to "click" when you hit either button on the controller but it would not turn the drum. It free spools with no issue. The winch has been sitting up for years and the seller had no idea about it because it apparently belonged to his father. It looks to be in good shape so I thought $100 was not bad to take the chance. We just held the cables to the battery and I could feel the "click" in the cables. I am going to try to properly connect it to my battery after trimming the ends of the cables before I pull it apart but I was hoping to find at least a more detailed schematic.

So Larry, are you saying that you ordered parts and talked to someone at Warn or is there some other place you were referring to?

Thanks again Paul. I found that 2 of the solenoids were no good and I broke the lug off a third without putting much torque on it at all. So, I am ordering all 4 tomorrow and it should be good as new. I found a write-up on MUD on how to check to see if the motor is good and it seems to be fine.

Mike not sure the brand or part # but they have an all in one unit that takes more amps that those old units and cheaper will look it upin the Mañana if n u want.

I appreciate it. I have one of the Superwinch contactors in the m8000 mounted under the hood. This is for an x8000i that has the integrated control box. I do not believe those will fit. Also, not sure i am keeping this one but with the new solenoid a I will only be in for $175. Not bad for a working 8k lb winch.

I know, I know. Search, search, search. But I'm tired, and won't have time to really look into it in the next couple days, I have the dash all apart on the Red 88' 4-runner. I'm hoping one of y'all 4-runner guys will know a good thread with a good write up. I know all the 60 series threads, but new to the 4 runners.

What is the trick to getting the cracked vinyl part on the passenger side off. I have every screw/bolt I could find off. One lady look, I see some but around the center all the way up by windshield, I can't feel the bolt on the top, I'm hoping removing this lone nut will allow me to finish getting it all apart.

I'm trying to get to the A/c control box. I found one little clip missing, and replaced that part, but now I need to replace/remove the A/C button, I'm hoping that single but up top nut will let me finish. Bought a A/C tensioner pully and belt, they were missing. A/c compressor turns over when I put 12v from battery, but nothing from switch, only .46v at the compressor clutch wire plug. I think it's low on freeyon, but i do get slightly cooler air when I jumped it. ;););)

I'm pretty impressed with the flex, it's decent. I did break the mirror on the passenger side, trying to see if it folds to the body, it like jumped up, and now it doesn't go back down... I see the spring, but I did a loud click, then popped up.

Low is pretty low, and I didn't realize, but the whole test drive, the hubs were locked in. It's nice and quiet. In 4 and 2. ;):)

Night. Thanks

Hidden nut in the middle of the pad above the glove box area, and another behind the pass ac vent.

IH8MUD has a FAQ section for the mini's and 4runners.
Marlin Crawler forum has lots tech and FAQ sections.

Cody, wow you didn't waste anytime tearing into the 4Runner :). Once I take about the dash I never put the 10mm nut holding the dash pad back. With the glove box removed looking upward by the two center a/c vents you should see a 10mm nut facing down and in the a/c vent closed to the passenger door is where the other bolt is hiding.

The a/c button will not allow the a/c compressor to turn on if low on freon (unless you jump the connector behind the dash , which could damage the compressor and other componets, or jump the compressor direct) I'll look for the link

If you find some hidden cash while working on the 4Runner let me know I forgot which one I hid it in :grinpimp: , or ammo or guns :hillbilly:

Well dad already claimed the $.46 we found under the shifter.

Yeah, I'm not putting those back on

Good to know that there is a safety feature. So that's on the list. ;).

Alright. How do you open the back tailgate on a 4 runner. I rolled window down, the handle inside moves, but doesn't do anything. I don't feel any latch above licence plate. I'm stumped, what's the trick, I'm pretty sure it opened at Alberts.
