Please keep an eye out and call the authorities if you see this Land Cruiser. It is a good friend’s Cruiser that has been imported with a turbo diesel.

Time for your friend to add a tracking tag and an anti-theft "kill switch" device.
Kill switch on a Diesel?? I have almost the same truck; mine's a '91, and I would like to know how it could be done.

Toyota 1hz/hdt diesel needs two things to run. Starter signal and inj pump solenoid. Interrupt either or both. Add a clutch pedal club and most folks won't bother.

Add a siren inside the cabin to really discourage the attempt. A solenoid on a timer attached to a pressurized can of fart spray will make their evening unpleasant. For the coup de grace, a small pressurized pneumatic tube filled with glitter and aimed at eye level will have them picking metal flakes out of their eyeballs, giving you just enough time to get outside with a can of bear spray and a camera to livestream the reaction to your followers.

Looks cool. Am I right that you get 2 years of service with the device and the $50/year after that? If so, that is way cheaper than I expected.

Yes, first two years is included. I am in my 2nd year, so I haven't purchased an annual plan yet. $26.95/year if 5 years is purchased.

Is this (stealing land cruisers) a Colorado thing or does it happen elsewhere. A friend had his '96 stolen in Colorado a few months back and almost every thread i read about stolen trucks is Colorado based.
