Getting close! This far out the west coast guys would still be trying to figure out where to have the ride! 
Ouch! One year of delaying until the last few days to pick our final destination because of USFS fire closures but we ended up in one of our best spots ever, in northern NM. At least we go to places where we have to pack in our bourbon instead of just running down the road to a distillery! Hope you have a great event. Land Between the Lakes, Trigg County, Kentucky, Road 169 GPS: N 36 43’ 27.7” W 88 04’ 41.96” Directions to Access Point: Travel Highway 68/80 east from Murray; turn south on the Woodlands Trace National Scenic Byway; turn west onto Road 169. Amenities: Group Campground – No defined campsites, fire rings and/or grills, picnic tables, vault toilets, trash removal and mowed areas.

Redd Hollow is near by, self serve, first come first serve, 2 tents per site, $10 a nite, tons of sites, vault toilet

The reserved spots are big paved RV sites. Gross.
Some of us coming Thursday and grab some extras sites for the Friday crowd.

There are 4 basic camp sites at LBL.
They have vaulted toilets and are covered by the 3 night, $10 fee. They can't be reserved, but it isn't hard to take them over with enough folks.

The LBL ranger guy said Redd Hallow has a ton of spots. I have no idea.

Basic/dispersed camping is first come/first served.
But those who find them can spread out to claim whatever area they will actually use
I'd have to say that Neville Bay is one of the nicer basic campsites, and the only one on the Cumberland side that qualifies for the 3 nights for $10 basic rate. It is small though, so it can fill up quick.
