Redd Hollow has the upside of being near the ORV park. That may figure in to any decision making. Just be sure to pay for your spot within 30 minutes of arrival. Feds don't play.

Team Tuscaloosa is down with Redd Hollow. Guy said it has room for 100 tents.

There is a little ridge that over looks the water with some sites and then lower sites within walking distance at water level.
I may just bring a canoe to show how truly overland I am!!!

Charley and Lela and I rehearsed camping last night. Lela is a veteran camper, but Charley is a newbie. Turns out he is a natural, but has an issue with the whole "sharing the bed" thing.
Lela is not particularly a morning dog. She is a wild rescue and a well trained excellent defensive dog. Fair warning; she will defend my truck. Not recommended to reach into the truck unless I'm there.
Charley, OTOH, will accept pets and tummy rubs from any human with hands.

I had to cancel my Colorado trip, so my son and I will be there Friday evening or possibly Saturday morning. I will know for sure by Monday.
