Weekend Update... from the MAC!
Ok, so I am going to try this again, and since all the pictures are already in the bucket, I am working from the Mac, so no random shutdowns.
So I started Saturday Morning with a trip to the pull-n-save a few miles from the house for some brake line fittings. Aparently a M10x1.0 female double flare brake Tee is not readily available item in the local parts stores, including my beloved NAPA. Anyway a few minutes and I had these little jewels cut out from under some late 80's and early 90's Toyota Pickups.

A little grinding and I was able to mount it directly to the old E-brake cable mount.

And using some stock length lines I managed to get it all plumbed up. No leaks.

I know it isn't pretty but for stock length lines I think it turned out OK. I will clean it up later if the need presents itself.
So with that task checked off, i moved onto swapping out the T-case, got everything un-bolted and when I pulled the plug I got this.

As Ted noted earlier, it came out exactly like you are thinking.

Reminded me of a nice fresh cow pie in the spring when you turn them onto the new grass. And it STUCK!!! I mean the most terrible gear oil smell ever.
I went ahead and put the plug back in because there was no chance that was going to "spill" on me while I was removing it.
Not the best picture, but you get the idea. Trail Tough MKI cradle with solid mounts. In went the 4.16 with the twisted TT rails.

Then in with the newly rebuilt shaft.

Then I took it up the street to make sure everything was going to turn and not burn. Well after a couple trips up and down the street, I did get a little smoke in the cab. The shipping labels were "burning" themselves off the new exhaust. It sounds MUCH better with an actual exhaust on it.
So with that all squared away I got started on the front-end.
All jacked up with the front passenger spring gone.

And where it was left Saturday night, back on all fours.

Note the terrible angle of the draglink now, which is why I got the Sky crossover, high-steer ordered on Monday.
Sunday was a relatively laid back day, In-laws were in this weekend and since I had spent all day in the driveway on Saturday, I had lunch with them on Sunday, so a late start.
Got the tailgate and passenger rear fender painted along with the rear flare. So it is officially 3/4 of the way painted.

I will get the door and rest of the passenger side when I pull the door and finish up the new guts.
I went ahead an got the air tank pulled out as well as cut out the old propane mounts. As you might have noticed above I took the old mounts and used my new found welding ability to make a new single tank mount to bolt horizontally to the floor in the rear.
So with that you are up to date.
I think I mentioned previously, but I have a set of 1.25" wheel spacers and a pair of 1.25" driveshaft spacers on the way as well as the aforementioned SKY steering kit.
Aside from installing those I still need to:
- finish installing the passenger seat
- paint the door and front fender
- bolt down the new tank mount
- rebuild the front axle
- Change the oil
And I think that will get us all ready for ACC.
