Ya, but I do understand the skepticism. If you haven't actually stopped fires with various extinguishers including smalls, it's easy to poke holes, and I do understand the logic. More retardant is a good thing..

-But a well aimed shot at the source is often out in LESS than a second. Bigger extinguishers give you more chances...but it's not as big a deficit as some assume.

Here's my front seat floor:

That looks like a 5 lb unit. Didn't think that the Bracketeer worked with anything larger than 2.5 lbs. Did you make modifications?

I mounted it using the other end of the adjustable bracket. It accepts whatever clamp comes with the extinguisher...so this works just fine. Unfortunately, the way our front seats move, you can't attach to the typical rail that moves with the seat, so you've got to decide how far you want it forward or back...and it stays put. I do have seat movement still, unless you're a super short driver. If for some reason a short person needs to drive my 200, I'd just put the extinguisher in back...but that's never happened yet. Works a charm. It does look huge in the photo...but once you're driving, it's completely unnoticed.

Not an admission of guilt but I have on several occasions practiced 12 volt welding

You too, eh? It's amazing what can be done with no welding rod, no planning, no jig, no gloves, no googles and just impromptu "practice".

Believe it or not NO adult beverages were consumed prior to the "what not to do" act

Whoa. Spooky how you replied so quickly. I didn't even tag you.

Understood. Thanks for your great products. Looking forward to what you come up with for this generation.

I follow this thread just in case someone mentions something I should be considering on the stuff I'm working on ;)

The fire extinguisher bracket I would buy to replace the one I have… Would be one that somehow attaches to the drivers seat so that it moves forward and back with the seat… As opposed to anchored in place from the base.

This would be especially helpful in the case of the 200, because our seat rail is unlike typical seat rails where brackets can attach to the end, and move with the seat. You can't do that with ours and it would be great To find a solution that allowed this.

Regarding fire extinguishers, here's a local story from just yesterday afternoon very close to my daily commute. Not a lot of details yet, but the long story short is a dump truck and a Jeep Grand Cherokee ended up tangled into a guard rail which caused a big fire and one of the people inside the Jeep died from his injuries/burns. People first on scene helped pull victims to safety, but it sounds like none of them had fire extinguishers. I have no idea if having one at arms length from those passersby would have saved the guy, but it surely wouldn't have hurt.

Good Samaritans who helped victims in fiery, fatal crash speak out

Came home with more wood than we left with, fire restrictions put in place the day we arrived. Wife found some bleached wood she wanted. Yes, that IS what she said.

Edit: whoops this was supposed to go in the BS thread.

Has anybody spent much time messing with the USB port for playing locally stored music? The NAV book shows how to use it, but I can't find out the file formats it supports. Also, what the maximum size USB drive it can read.

I load up Mp3's into folders. You have to put them into folders with no more than 250 songs per folder

Anyone know what the proper foot lbs torque is for the nut that attaches the rear KDSS piston arm to the rear axle sway bar on the left side on a KDSS equiped LC? My online boot leg source for such info is no longer working and my Lexus source doesn't have KDSS info that I can find.

Any chance it's in here? LMK if not and I can share other pages.
