Question I thought of while reading another thread, but seemed more at home in the SQOD thread.

The thread mentioned the SmartTap relay only working on earlier 200 series LCs.
... the LX and LC use different relays, which affects whether this feature is available or not.

I had a SmartTap on my 13 and liked it.

Silly question - could you put the LX relay in the 16+ LC and get the tap to flash behavior like the LX?

On the 80, it was a common very cheap mod to use 9011 bulbs for more light. Has anyone used 9011 bulbs to replace their high beam 9006 bulbs in the 200?

Seems like that's exactly what some folks in that other thread were doing, but I didn't read the thread in detail, just glanced through it.

Is there a way to wire the stock LX570 running board lights to a switch to keep them on when desired?
Sure. A switch to control a relay which will power the lights so that they have two separate circuits that will activate them, and a diode in each circuit to prevent backfeed.

Surely more headache than it’s worth though.

Any issues if I leave my tires aired down to drive a mile on asphalt to our beach rental?
Keep it at around/under 20mph and you'll be just fine.

I will drive 10 miles or so at half normal psi up to about 35-40 mph when going on pavement between trails. You’ll be floaty and the king of understeer but you’ll be fine for a short distance

Depends on how low. You will be fine if you don't go too fast and extreme turns that can pop the tire off the rim.

you're fine.... like my buddy who I said last week his tires look low -- yep 15 psi from when he aired down last August in his Tundra

Took the air filter box cover off to blow off filter, just got back from Utah, there was another filter screwed to the top, sort of a secondary filter if you will. Is this normal?

Haven't seen that on my '14 LX.

Got pics?

No it must be some after market pre-screen.

Not on my 16 LC200

If you are asking about the fume filter welded to the inside of the air box cover seen here:

Then it is perfectly normal. The purpose of this filter is to prevent gasoline fumes from venting to the atmosphere when the engine is off.

HTH

That’s it, thanks!

Does anyone have a source for the rear passenger volume buttons? There are two on the back of the center console. Mine have always been missing, and it’s the only noticeable defect in my interior :(
