“Do your thing” is the best coffee in Marfa!

Nice! Thought about going there but I recall it being out of the way (maybe 30 mins out of the way- Is that right?)

i think thats about right; its going NW-ish out of Marfa closer to Valentine. The weather / surveillance blimp station is very close to the Prada store as well as the turnoff to the observatory / Ft Davis (IIRC). I really liked that area. Wish we had spent more time, but I know I’ll be back to that area for some Aoudad hunting.

We did get pulled over twice as the Border Patrol and DPS did not recognize us; literally their reason for pulling us over. Both times were more than cordial and positive interaction with law enforecement.

Is the SPC adjustable UCA the only UCA that has a mount hole for the AHC sensor arm link? That is what that hole i see is about no?

Are you referring to what's shown in the picture below? It looks to me like OME has those eyelets as well.

You got me curious enough to peek under the wheel wells. Indeed, it is setup similar to the LX470 sensors with a sensor at the upper a-arm. A similar procedure should allow you do to an easy AHC leveling of the front end, or lift all around. - AHC Sensor Adjustment for Lift

I made a horrible mistake judging my clearance on a thick trail and a large cedar had its way with the side of my black LC. Anyone have good suggestions for getting scratches out? I dont think it's scratched through the paint, but I want to make sure I get them out the correct way.

Start by chainsawing that cedar and any others you see in the area and burn them.

Meguiars ScratchX works quite well.
Otherwise I would get a buffer and some compound and have at it.
I recently bought this kit. Works quite well.

For a 2018 LX570, how do I keep climate concierge on without it disabling the the zones behind the driver?

I dont use climate concierge or auto mode but in order to sync front and rear you have to manually turn rear on any setting, then on the main climate page disable the 4 zone toggle. Im not sure if that disables cc but these are some of my gripes with Lexus replacing the rear dedicated button witH a useless climate concierge button.

The seats follow ac manual and auto modes anyway and the only thing CC automates is steering wheel heat.

I'd recommend a reputable shop to get it out professionally. But they'll probably have to do the whole car. Then wrap the car in XPEL.

I have a black cruiser, wouldnt do anything in it without the XPEL. I took it offroad once before the XPEL and regretted the decision.

Your stupid question is too smart for this thread it looks like. I've never re-torqued them, have checked the driveshaft occasionally and never felt anything loose has been good enough for me.

I've helped swap driveshafts on 40s and 60s and it's always get it goodentight and that's it. Usually can't get much more than an open end on the bolts let alone a torque wrench

What are the torque specs for the driveshaft flange bolts? 94 ft lbs? And how often are you tightening them?
Per FSM its 65 ft/lb for the rear propeller shaft. Same spec for the transfer flange and differential flange side.

Ok. So I have done this before on 100 series, but I cant figure out how to get this radiator off of my 2014 Cruiser.
Tried searching and couldn't find an existing thread. Really just how to get to the driver side bolt on the top side of the frame. Any links to any previous walk throughs? Thanks!

The lower bolts for the radiator? There are two small holes above the frame that lets you access the bolts with a socket and extension.

Sorry, I meant the top bolts on the radiator frame. I've got the lower ones.

What year LX or LX? On my 13 LX the PS top bolt I could just access with a socket and extension. On the DS I had to take off two clips holding the plastic air deflector to get to it

Hey, I am looking to buy a OBD2 scanner for my vehicle since i started throwing the EVAP CEL (same has TeCKis300 posted about with the fix) likely in association with LRA system. When looking at which one to buy it's overwhelming. I usually use iOs. Any recommendations or what I should look for in a scanner?
