Lol! :flipoff2:
:steer: it was an epic road trip.. I need to get off my rear and finish posting it...

Thanks for invite! I'm trying to make a trip happen the weekend before that actually, and wifey bday on 8/20 will almost certainly prevent me from your trip... You avail 8/14-17 though??? :grinpimp:

What a coincidence. I chose 8/21 because my wife's bday is on 8/17! So that will almost certainly prevent me from your trip :) Where you thinking of going by the way?

p.s. @TYM4FUN @93yotasr5 you guys down?

I've been to hell hole on a mountain bike before. As I recall, it _was_ a gravel road, no?

Hell Hole reservoir near the Rubicon? No way! You must have gone the car route for normal lake access. There's a short but very difficult 4x4 trail that starts at the north end of the lake and goes east, ending on the west side. It's pretty much a mini Rubicon, a constant rock garden and steep ledges. Never been but I've seen lots of pics and videos. I like that it won't take as long as the Rubicon and it seems pretty quiet.

It's pretty much like this the whole way in:

And here's where you end up, perfect secluded place to camp and kayak!

*Babe don't read this*.............My wife is a slave driver and has me working 6 days a week, so I'm a no go. Hopefully I can get someone to work part of my hours by then. My truck is getting some serious blue balls.

So, I was cleaning up some boxes (junk) and found these. Some in good shape and some have scratches. You can put music and use it in your rig or give them to your kids. I don't have enough for everyone going to the camping but I will be bringing these to give away to fellow mudders that are going. If I find more I will bring them.

Nah, I wish. I get them from a source and turn them around to make a 'lil dough. These were from last year and didn't realize I still have 'em. I might as well share the blessings since we are blessed from up above. The :princess: is 8 weeks preggy... :bang::bounce::bounce2:

Well its not looking very good for my 60 making it on this trip now.... the powersteering pump blew out again has ONCE AGAIN covered my engine and frame in ATF. The shop I took it to yesterday to re-bleed my brakes after I improperly bench bled the master and couldn't get all the air out myself got them better, but not great. I also had them change the tie rod ends since I wanted to get that out of the way ASAP; they told me that the alignment shop couldn't align it because it has a "jeep front end".... He has fxxxed up with my truck in the past but I decided to give him another chance since he has always done work for my Dad and I'm in a time crunch, needless to say, I won't make this mistake again.

Tomorrow I'm taking it down to Comerson's Toy Shop to see if they can help me out. I'm sick of getting screwed by this truck every time a trip comes up.

I've got a spare PS pump and I'm going to the swap meet in Petaluma Saturday if you need anything. You could order from Marlin or Mudrak and have them bring parts with them.

You can align the front end pretty well yourself. There's only one variable, toe-in. I've always done mine myself with crude tools. I suppose two variables if you consider steering wheel center.

Thanks, I'll let you know when I find out what I need. I'm going to do everything I can to get it all together before this trip; I'll be there regardless, the only question now is will I be driving a Cruiser or a Suburban...

Mr. Machinist I am GOING! :bounce::steer::bounce2:

HOLY CRAP. Am I finally gonna be able to meet the infamous TYM4FUN?

I invited a few other buddies not on MUD. Not sure how many will end up going, but looks like I may have another 3-4 rigs coming. But they're flakier than a box of cereal so it may end up being me +1

Alright boys well s*** hit the fan and I am out. Got weddings all this month (wife is working them) and since they are family friends I am obligated to go.

@The Machinist - I have two spare pumps in my side yard, one is definitely a no go but the other was originally on my truck and have no clue if it is good or not as it had a slight wobble. Let me know if you want to give that one a try and I can see about getting it out to you ASAP (just pay for shipping).

Any HAMs going to be on this trip? I just got my license and picked up a handheld radio but I'm a bit foggy on how to use it with repeaters and all. The class is totally worthless. I'd appreciate it if someone wouldn't mind giving me a couple pointers. Will have beer. :)

Think I can help you out. What radio did you get? I've got the cable for the Baofeng, really makes programming a breeze.

I have the UV-5R. No license yet, but I will be bringing it to get some tips in person from somebody...
