The better question is will he mind being teased about owning a Heep? :D

jeez, i have more than $200 in shirt preorders alone! youg uys rock and the newest list with everyone included on it is getting taken to the store tomorrow. anyone looking for their shirts that weekend should find me in the bright neon green event shirt running around somewhere in the woods near a big white 60 series with bright red bumpers front and rear and probably a camo boat on the roof, you cant miss it, trust me!

anyone pre paying will have their name on a list and must sign for the shirts they ordered and tell me your name either MUD handle or real name since i have both on my fancy spreadsheet.

I WILL HAVE A SELECT FEW EXTRA SHIRTS IN STOCK OUTSIDE OF WHAT PEOPLE HAVE ALREADY ORDERED SO PUT IN A SIZE ORDER AND YOU CNA PAY ME AT THE CAMP OR PAYPAL ME BEFORE, SHIRT ORDER DEADLINE IS COMING UP FAST SO GET THE ORDERS IN NOW!!!

Trip Report: I just got back from the Gold Lake 4x4 OHV campground today. Be aware that as of yesterday, no campfires (even in the fire rings) or charcoal fires are allowed, per the ranger that appeared in my camp yesterday morning. Fire restrictions are in place. My propane stove was fine. Also, there were a lot of mosquitoes attacking me constantly near the water. It's a beautiful campsite and lake, however. The trail to the campsite is rough most of the way. It took me 30 minutes to get from the pavement to the campsite, a whopping 1.5 miles. I drove my 40, pulling an M416 trailer. Just take your time. Of the 16 campsites, I was in #6. #1 or #2 was occupied, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8 and 9 were unoccupied. The rest had folks in them. It was quite warm during the day and decent into the night. Lots of shade in the campsites. I camped in the area last September with a friend not into wheeling, so I came back this week to check out the 4x4 campsite.

I'll be heading down to my local CALFIRE office to get fire permits (for the stoves) and to see what the story is on the restrictions this year. A quick google search leads me to believe that most of the state is on a no burn restriction due to the drought. I'll report back on this when I learn more.

Some years can be worse than others for mosquitoes up there. I've been in the area when they were so bad I had to move campgrounds, other times there have barely been any. Hopefully a couple more weeks will help....

If anyone is feeling a little nervous about the trail, there should be enough of us to get little groups going in. (SERIOUSLY THOUGH, ITS NOT THAT HARD!!!!.... its much easier than Georg's FJ45 Run if you were on that last year. :D)

that sucks,
but at least we can use our camp stoves.
I cant wait! im going crazy!

Definitely running snake lake loop clockwise.
Definitely fishing.
Bringing a 5 yr old and 6 yr old, and beer.
We were not allowed to have campfires at rubithon, but we were allowed campfires at sugar pine point state park campground. :/

Heck yeah! If this minivan could run Snake Lake going clockwise, then any 60 or 80 worth their salt should do it just fine. Hard part looks like it starts at 1:18
