Anyone done the trail from Gold Lake to Johnsville? I'd like to try that one on Saturday but I've read reports that it's a pretty tight squeeze in places and not good for full size trucks. Anyone done it?

On which trail? You have more than one option I think. I went from Johnsville on the Gold Valley OHV trail. There's a short junction which takes you from the Gold Valley trail to the Snake Lake loop and eventually get out to Gold Lake. I wonder if that's the one they're talking about? The whole trail is tough without a lift/lockers/sliders.

I think if you follow the orange line I drew on the map (Gold Valley) you'll be fine. You could probably run the whole Gold Valley OHV trail in a minivan. Just avoid the Snake Lake loop and the junction between Snake Lake and Gold Valley trial (purple).

I'm thinking the soccer mom route. Tho I was hoping for a little more of a challenge. But I'd make a diversion onto the snake loop by Snake lake to see if anyone is doing snake loop clockwise and watch the hill climb.

Thanks for the info including a map and everything!

got jcardonas, pilotaku and darrells payments, thanks guys! Darrell are you getting 2 mediums and 2 XXLs? because you sent me money for 3 shirts not 4 lol

Man this is a tempting weekend run down possibility. Gold lake is pure sweetness. My first trip there was an interesting one, running into these fellers and have a manhunt go on through the night (and seeing the suspect stroll by camp)...
