Might work out! We are planning at staying at my moms in meeker so not sure when we are heading up.
I just got in last week, coming from NC. I also have a little work to do to prepare the rig. I plan to take a few days and come over early and hit up Moab and maybe the Cruiser museum in SLC. But will likely head for NC Saturday after. Looking forward to it and meeting all of you. I think there is one other coming from NC so maybe we can meet up at some point. @Mignonne

Solid Axle Summit is as laid back as possible. The only real scheduled thing is the group photo and raffle on Wednesday evening. We encourage folks to get out and explore not only Ouray but other places as well. Connect with folks and hit the open road and trails in your Cruiser.
There are a few that have mentioned Moab. Would be a neat place to see and wheel, just be aware of HEAT
over there in August.
Most of us are coming from a HOT summer climate to enjoy cooler weather.
Keeping that in mind we will probably have a good chance of the snow pack in place at higher altitudes. Most if not all the trails we use will be cleared by the time we arrive. Good news is that the dust should be very low while on the trail.

Two questions....
- Is there any idea on what days folks will tackle which trails? I want to schedule a family train ride on the Durango & Silverton, but don't want to miss out on something like Imogene pass because I booked the wrong day.
- Is Black Bear pass suitable for a stock FJ75 Troopy? I've read a few different trip reports and I'm confused on it being suitable for stock trucks vs. requiring high clearance.

1. There will be several groups each day heading out in many different directions. Imogen will be run almost daily so you won't miss an opportunity.
2. BlackBear is totally doable in a 70 series Troopy. We have competent trail leaders and spotters in the major trail groups.
3. We will have a gathering each morning around the coffee pot to plan your adventures.

I booked the train for Friday, end of the week.
I will take the tent site.
Working on my patio. After carrying 5 of those flagstone slabs up the stairs, felt like it was a good time for a beer break.
The tent site is pending and the cabin is still available.

I did a little bit of American Fork Canyon last summer and would recommend it.
Nice break from the zillion degree heat in SLC.

I got called from my waiting list telling me there is a spot for me. I was suppose to get back to you or whomever texted me 5 pm my time. I didn't call back cause my girl and I just looked at the schedule and she can't make It.
