Just figured out that my notifications were off on this thread, late to the party on last minute prep updates...

You guys have probably heard but the monsoon rains are starting to arrive which is good news for wildfires and forest access, just remember to bring some rain gear. I decided to do a last minute project of building a bed platform and storage system. I'll be sleeping with a real roof over my head this year instead of in the tent...

If anyone wants/needs a place to stay on Sunday or Monday I can host folks at my place in Buena Vista, CO. One spare bedroom is available, plus I have a 2000 sqft shop where folks can park and/or make any repairs if trouble crops up in route to the summit.

Klaus, good timing. I just updated my punch list as well. And I’m out of town 3 days next week for work. Not as much pressure as last year but still a lot of things to do :). Look forward to catching up in CO.

John, hoping to get this trailer current so I can haul those parts back :)
I was looking at the road atlas and figured I could meet you @ I-25 and US 84 in Romeroville, south of Las Vegas, NM, on your way back from Denver. US 84 takes you right to Lubbock. It's not much further than if you took US 87 from Raton to Lubbock.

Yessir, when @roma042987 brings his for the mid trip lift we will have three blue wagons together. Might have to do a blue wagon run this year.

My punch list over the past two months

Change brake fluid
New front rotors
New rear rotors and pads
New front ring n pinion plus complete front axle rebuild
F&R diff fluid change
T case fluid change
New windshield and gasket
New tail pipe
Balance all tires

To do:
Change oil and filter
Change front diff fluid again after 500 miles

Can't believe I'm doing this with over a week left. I usually do stuff like this with a day left

I was hoping to head out a couple of days early, and that's still the plan. Main reason Is to not miss out because I'm late. If I'm late, I'm still on time. Wierd logic.

I'd love to hit Ouray via Texas if I had lots of time, and caravan in from there. We'll see.

Reminds me of a song

@ajax1 Are we still on for the Montrose big tire run? If so, who all is in?

Side note; would anyone be interested in spending some time at the downhill mtb park in Telluride? @The Machinist?

With us, @ddelong6767, and @NMC_EXP, we'll have at least six blue wagons this year. A blue wagon run would be cool!

If your gonna get a racist, then we would just have to have a white wagon run in a different direction. Either that or we can do a red white and blue rotation for some patriotism. ;);)

Funny, I was just thinking we could do a red, white, and blue FJ60/FJ62 run. I know there'll be at least one white FJ62, one red FJ62, and several red FJ60s (including one look-alike HJ141).
