Ya..... Sad day.

Don't know what to say really. It wasn't officially for sale or anything. Guy had been bugging me for over a year and he came into some cash. Spent the last few hours cleaning it out of all the camping gear and packing 60 stuff from the crawl space into the truck. Spares of just about everything.

Its heading to Whitehorse Yukon so I threw in some new glow plugs..... didnt really need anything else as I have stayed on top of everything.

Still don't know what to say. Feel like I betrayed a good, loyal, faithful friend.

On to bigger (well smaller) things I guess.

Wow man, don't know what to say. That was a real epic vehicle. You put a huge amount of effort and time into that thing and it was certainly one of my favorite 60's that I've seen.

Hope it serves the new owner well and you don't come to regret your decision.

You'll be moving onto a new cruiser project I hope? Anything in mind?

You gotta have some plans for the next vehicle??

Or did you run out and buy a rubicon 4 door:p

Keep the rooftop.?

Jeep on order. :flipoff2: Kept the RTT. (of course)

Congratulations! And happy new year!!! Off on a bender with a handful of money???:hillbilly:

Cocanie and hookers!

Seriously though..... Have to buy a dump truck for the business and having three vehicles just wasn't practical. I'd rather have sold the S4 but it is what it is. I mean I put 500Kms on it (the 60 not the S4) last year and 1500 the year before. Work gets in the way of things and that being said, work is feast or famine.
Wouldn't have sold it if the offer came in June but its December and winter is famine time.

Guy that bought it is a heavy duty mechanic and doesn't care about the milage which in reality was an issue in terms of resale. I know (we all know) how awesome the 3B is, especially the 5 bearing 3B but it would be a point of concern should a joe blow guy be interested. Even with the 440+ compression numbers mine had.

Dunno. Just went with it.

Out of morbid curiosity I might add up all the recipts and see what I had into the old girl. Then again..... perhaps not. :bang:

Still on the look out for the perfect 42, might just have a chance now that Robbie got his and wont scoobie one away from me. Could take years.

I'm into the memorial beers now. :crybaby:

Wow...

Damn, I was looking forward to getting out with you in that, maybe even join you on a Yukon run. I've got July off, might very well end up in the Yukon this summer. Of course I'll have to take a shotgun for the mosquitoes.
Too bad, you still going to come out this weekend somehow?
I presume you're looking for a BJ, not an FJ?

So, does this mean we can start flooding this thread with 40's for you?

Ill get a head start

Pretty sure I saw this one when I was in Vancouver and stopped by EBI Cruisers to say hello

I think he wants an 83 or 84 bj42

Ya. You got it.

In no rush though. If (or when) I find a 42 the build will be mild in comparison to the Sixty.

Oh s*** that is it.... 42 is going int the garage right now:p

F A W K I N K stawker...:p

Happy new year to all you cruiser and non cruiser folk...

I am out of the hunt for a BJ42, so will keep an eye out for ya buddy.

Robbie...

It's all good cam,
Did the same with my 75 this year and even considered leaving the cruiser world for a cummins. You'll find one just give it time.
Merry New Years to all you guys,

Cheers!

Why not just get a 50series? Best of both worlds!

Now you're talking... 55 body on a truck like mine with 33"s..... ultimate family wagon! :hillbilly:

With a BJ42 too for wheeling/hunting/fishing trips without the family... wait, you wanted fewer vehicles?!?

How about one of of those JDM cab-over dump trucks? 4x4, crane on the back, 5spd diesel.... you could use it for work and wheel it on the weekends too! Pull trees and rescue trucks with the crane, change flat tires with the stabilizers.....

Then you can boast about your awesome ricy jdm blue headlights

I'd take one of those....it'd solve my wanting a truck AND a tractor issue quite nicely... (seen any for sale lately?)

on one hand I'd like a dodge but they're so freaking big and heavy they suck around the yard...and a minitruck is too small to drag my boat.
An 80 would work technically for both... but I don't need a luxury suv...too many bells and whistles for simple folk like me...and the ute versions are funny lookin.

Saw a lhd 75 with a flatdeck in Duncan a couple weeks ago...hmmm. Too bad there aren't more of those around.

Now your talking, fj55 on a 80 chassis, add factory ambi doors and its golden..

Those double cab 4x4 are so sweet, had one in for a service, had a 13B, non turbo engine...

Prolly would not pull your equipment.
