Hmmm.....I got all these 45 parts, get an 81 frame, HD-T,... put the steering wheel back on the correct side. HaHa!

81 frame is in my back yard... somebody should come take it before I scrap it!

Oh NO, someone said FREEE......

Ryan is on the nine step program, be warned never say free ever again on this forum:hillbilly:

More like the "tired of working on junk" program...

I've got this idea that my next truck will arrive at my place under its own power, and not in an assortment of boxes in the back of a pickup.

Crazy, I know.

80 series wheelbase... 112.2" sounds about right.
Too bad I don't have more time, energy, money, & talent. Could be the ultimate "40" series... I hear Aqualu is building a 4 door 40 to sit on a 80 frame... Maybe you could sell it with papers to someone.

Really... how much do Aqualu tubs cost I wonder? That would be a fun project!

5k seems about right... Plus 1.5 40s.

I'd love to build one, but it wouldn't happen in the next 10 years.

I know of a couple good projects for ya Cam

Nice sprung over '74 40 with a V8. And by nice I mean sitting in the driveway for years now with no roof nice. Front clip is fiberglass...so no rust there :)

But you just might be a 45 kinda guy perhaps?

Ooo dont say V8 and 40 in the same sentence to him....

Slowandsteady,
I saw a nice 60 series truck with large MTR's and a V.I.Cruisers sticker in the Canadian Tire parking lot in Whitehorse a few months back... but haven't seen the truck since. Sorry about the sale, but good luck with a 40 series replacement.

I just relocated to the Yukon from Vancouver, so it's fun seeing some cruisers around whitehorse... ...Man, were there ever some sweet 75 series camper-conversions from Europe at the end of last summer.

Slowandsteady, I recall your thread about your last Yukon road-trip. If any of the club are coming up this way this summer, I'd be game to tag along for the northern portions of the trip...

Is it that burgandy coloured one that keeps showing up on mud?

The truck you saw was indeed my old Sixty. The guy that bought it was doing an apprenticeship at Finning there in Whitehorse, he has since returned to Alberta for more schooling.

Believe it or not he got the 3B to start at -35... mind you it was plugged in to many warming devices. ;)

Enjoy the great white north, I have fond memories of both Whitehorse and Dawson as I spent a lot of time there growing up.

Sounds like you have a bit of a build yourself.... do you have a thread?
