SOLD.
Not really wanting to sell, but would like to move on to a different project and this one has to go in order to make progress on the other one.
Originally brought to the U.S. by Spector Offroad from Chile, was told it came from the Chilean Army.
Converted to 3B-T with H55 (5 spd) transmission
Fresh rebuild on the 3B, with Engines Australia rebuild kit and new Engines Au. head Still breaking in the engine, I've got about 300 miles on it.
Jefferson State Machining Turbo kit with new exhaust
New Exedy Clutch, resurfaced flywheel (had .5 mm step machined into flywheel per 13BT spec)
New EGT/Boost gage along with autometer water temp and oil pressure gages
60 series axles with 3.7 gears, disc brake front, drum rear, front shackle reversal, needs bump stop relocation brackets on front. The axle moves backwards with the shackle reversal, so I've pulled the front drive line off, until I get this sorted out as it may need shortened.
60 series power steering, rebuilt steering gear from West Texas Off Road
315/75/16 BFG AT tires – need replaced, new Goodyear Duratrac spare on new matching rim, Cragar Soft 8 16x7
New OME front shocks and steering stabilizer, needs new rear shocks.
It needs some work, but a great start, it runs, drives and stops, all lights work, gauges work, has Wilson switch for glow plugs. Needs a new top as the zippers are blown out on this one and it didn't hold up to the sun at all. No parking brake as the cable is too short.
Has lap belts up front, no seat belts in the rear. Just added 40 series seats to the rear for ‘Troopy’ seating as the original seats were MIA.
Not much rust, it looks like the driver's and passengers floor boards were replaced, and need replaced again. a bit of rust on the rear channel below the doors. Rear doors need some work.
Clear Idaho Title, titled as a 1972 as that’s how it came to me. Located in Boise, Id.
