Yours is "branded" Land Cruiser. Is that how these are? The pics only show the mounting side not the actual exterior.

Welp... Never really planned to get a snorkel but now I'm in the same boat... Hopefully the wife won't get the package before I do, and give me some more time for a good story for 'the new plastic thingy on that damned old truck.'

The 80's may be different. IIRC the 80 has a blank oval.
Speaking of that blank oval, I pm'd Snake Eater about those emblems he made for these back in posts 305+319 in this thread. He says he is out right now and needs to make them in batches of 30, so if you want one be sure and let him know!
I'm gonna rattle can mine in Krylon Fusion (for plastic) to keep the UV off the plastic and just run it. I'm more worried about the cold factor than anything else, but there's not much I can do about that except for drive carefully!

I have one sitting in my cart on amazon... Just waiting for the right moment to buy so it goes unnoticed.
How does that work? Pretty sure a snorkel on my truck will be hard to miss. That's not counting the activity of drilling holes in it...

Installed an Ebay dorkel yesterday. No oval, no "LandCruiser" text but the clean looks good, too. It's a quality unit and the template was pretty accurate. The install was straight forward.
it looks real clean without the blank oval on it, too bad you had to lose your antenna.
....JDM baby....antenna is on the other side...

I unbolted my antenna to gain easier access to the last two nuts
Some say they can get to them without removing the antenna, but they probably have girly hands
Ya....even with no antenna getting those last two bolts is a painful operation....

My snorkel arrived today from Amazon. Thought I'd toss up a few pics of unpacking it to show anyone who's debating ordering. Everything looks good... now just hoping I have time in the next few weeks to install! And like posted before, the outside tube came smooth and unlabeled, no oval either. It has the recycle symbol on the back so I assume that means it was made with recycled plastics? I'm not sure if that would have any effect on its UV tolerance but I guess over the next few years I will find out.
