when I seen the price I couldn't help myself hahaha

even with the 90$ shipping to Canada, it is still a better deal than anything ive seen.....
 
So a reasonable question... why not use this snorkel? It does seem like $400 for a plastic mold that hasn't changed in 20 years is a bit steep... what am I getting with the Safari besides a lighter wallet?

After having mine for almost 2 years now, I just don't see why anyone would want to spend $400 on a "real" Safari version :hhmm:

Sure, the plastic may be inferior as Safari claims, but I don't think it matters one bit under normal circumstances :meh:

And by that I mean it may melt if you're driving on Mercury and it may crack if your Cruising on Mars, but other than that, you're good :p
 
I bought the Safari one when it was like $285. I kinda sorta considered the knockoff until I saw what UV damage does to one long term. That was enough to say fawk it and spent the extra hundy

Pics of UV damage anyone? Length of time? An extra hundred is one thing an extra $250 is another altogether.

I was part of a group buy that was too good to pass up. In fact it's been like two years now and the box is still sitting in my garage. Unfortunately I do not have pics of the UV. It wasn't even on a cruiser. But I asked the owner a bunch about it. He was going to paint it to de-uglify it.
 
Here is mine after 2 years. It's still as black as day one. The intake tube is in great shape. It sees GA sun all day. And bakes in traffic in the summer. I've seen the temp 150*F in parking lots using a IR temp gun.

I am about to pull the trigger on this, the reviews points out the template is useless. Any body has a template to share?
