Mark,

Sat at 2pm , we'll be putting the cab on and then BBQ and beer. Come on up if you want to see it.....and lift the cab :) carne asada and XX-amber to follow, once you get drunk enough I have some extra sand paper and a whole bed that needs some prep work :grinpimp:

give me a call if you're interested (in the bbq part).

Can't this Sat but when this bad boy is done I have a Model needing photos done and I have to hook you up with a shoot of your rig so why not kill two birds with one stone?? Is that incentive enough to finish the rig?

Sounds like a deal Mark! Just two things:

1. No dirty hos that are gonna leave some nasty snail trail on the hood that eats through the new paint

2. She rides with me to the shoot. I'll go take out the passenger seat now and map out the route with the most bumps ;)

In all fairness to show the work you have accomplished you need to post a few shots of the Cruiser when you got it....I just happen to have a few:D

Aaron looks good, you certainly were worthy to get this one.

Cheers,

Michael

Thanx Michael but it would never have happened without your generous triple slashing blue light special price! ...not to mention throwing in 3 pigs for <$X?. one pig pillaged, two left. once this is done Tim's gonna come up with one real nice 55.

Thanks again and I hope everyone can see how great doing business with Michael Hein of West Coast Cruisers can be!

drivin it down to your place as soon as its done

Aaron

Big milestone today- With the help of a few good neighbors - who were lured down by the offer of plenty of Beer and Carne Asada- We got the cab on the frame.

So THIS is what you guys have been up to! SAWEET

Add me to the chorus: you're gonna like those Alcans!

Curious as to the choice of a '69 windshield frame on the early cab? Are you going to retrofit the early latch hook to the w/s frame, or the later knob support to the dash. Either way I'da figured you'd have that worked out BEFORE paint.

Aarons been working really hard every weekend for the last year and I decided it was time that he got a little well deserved attention from the group.

Myself- I can't walk by the damn thing with out wanting to do something to help the project along- it's cruiser addiction-so during the week, I sneek out to the garage and do a little here and there. But I always-leave the fun stuff for Aaron ;).

Since it's a non-removable top and the original windshield frame was not included with the truck-we used the WS frame that came with it- with the thought that it can always change later if we come across one. We also used solid windshield brackets and I have a couple of different options for inside. We have learned to adapt on the fly - and that sometimes is what makes it fun.

As far as the Alcan's - I sure hope those things stretch out a bit- right now the shackle angles are bugging me- but everyone keeps telling us that they will soften up and drop at bit.

Hey Mark (or anyone else that has one), I still need the w/s bow that connects that '69 w/s frame to the roof....

and that sanding joke is not funny anymore, especially after logging, oh I don't know, 600 hours of hand sanding and finding out one of those neighbors that helped lift the cab has a sand blaster!!:bang:

ps - if you need anything done on your rig - park it in tim's driveway for a week. when you come back its magically done?

Thanks for the praises :) I am just glad the Cruisers will get taken care of instead of sitting around and rotten. Glad I could help.

Cheers,

Michael

Sorry Aaron, but you have the biggest s*** eatin grin in the first shot so I just had to share it. besides, it's not right to not share your hard work with the others!

Jeez, you start a couple of threads and get no answers or H8ERS and you take it to heart.

Rig looks good! I can't wait to see this beast in person. Are you going to use it to go trolling for chicks downtown? I think you might have better luck in Hillcrest, I see this more as a Dude magnet rather than a chick magnet. :flipoff2:
